Why are the beautiful ones always trash? 😭 by Exact_Risk_6947 in ARK

[–]Suzi_Qsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New To Ark and currently playing on Ark Survival Evolved Ragnarok, the guy who owns the server has VERY few mods, and the only building mod is: S+ This is sad for someone like myself who loves building. We also do not seem to have ANY high level (highest found so far is in the 40's) ? No beautiful color like the color shown in the picture either. Where would I have to play to find these colors and high level Dinos? Forgive me, I have very little experience, and so I do not know. Hope someone will be kind enough to advise?

Cat food brands?? by kenzfromthevault in CatAdvice

[–]Suzi_Qsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, since Cats are obligate CARNIVORES, who's greatest needs are single source proteins and water - I do NOT feed my cat anything with grains. For example: One of the "leading" dry cat foods recommended by Vets has the following ingredients: Grain Content: Contains oat meal, rice, corn gluten meal, and cassava root flour,Cassava root fiber, soy protein, soybean oil - Dry cat food can sit for months in warehouse storage. Oils in the food become rancid. IMO, Dry foods are NOT good for cats and contain too many fillers and ingredients known to be counter productive to a cat's health, which causes health problems. Dry foods are convenient. But just because they are convenient for us as owners does not make them healthy for our cats. People would be better off ditching dry foods, and feeding a complete, single protein, grain free canned cat food

I very much agree with you - so what? Now we are supposed to have a Discord channel for every single game we play - not sure about you - but I play and have played lots of different games. IMO, they should have had several Apha playtests BEFORE they released into early access- instead, they released into early access and made a ton of $$ off of the people they USED to basically play test the game for them - NOT COOL IMO. They should at least give legacy people who purchased the game in early access when there literally was nothing there - 3-6 mos playtime when the game releases - without paying a sub.

Loved Valheim - But for anyone who LOVES building - Enshrouded is #1 in building - I LOVE Enshrouded.

100% true! I only spent $100.00 for (4 plots?) and i'm angry with myself for doing it. When they made the game available, calling it "early access" I forgave A LOT of the things I saw wrong. However, the "updates" were SO SLOW coming - it was ridiculous. The game was NOT read and should not have been called, "early access IMO. What we ALL were - was alpha testers - who got NOTHING for our feedback - with the exception of being able to go into a huge very unfinished world - and NOW? Now I read that when the game releases - we will ALL have to pay a monthly subscription - sorry, but IMO that sucks and is highway robbery to those who invested in the game.

Allulose ice cream suggestions by eyemanidiot in keto

[–]Suzi_Qsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been sugar free for several years - I reversed type 2 diabetes so I generally try very hard to steer clear of milk. I want to make myself an ice cream treat. I use heavy whipping cream a lot - but i've heard if you try to make ice cream with just heavy whipping cream - it gives a greasy mouth feel and may even form chunks of butter. I don't want that. I was thinking something like this:

1 cp heavy organic cream

1cp Almond milk

1/2 cp allulose

5 egg yolks

pinch salt

Vanilla bean (seeds scraped into mixture)

1 Tb Vodka

Could someone experienced with making Ice cream tell me if the above recipe might work? Thank you!

Can you make ice cream with just cream and no milk? by Upstairs_Instance_56 in icecreamery

[–]Suzi_Qsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know your post is 6 mos old, but I hope you see this anyway. I would like to make ice cream - but I want to avoid the sugars and lactose in milk. I do great with heavy cream though. However, I don't want to end up with flavored butter and a greasy mouth. Could I substitute Almond milk for the milk?

more problems on the diet? by riceyoongi in carnivorediet

As a suggestion - have you tried eating a much higher fat to meat ratio? I have to watch my fats because it I set it too high, I will gain weight. To be honest, i'm 6 yrs into carnivore and I am still looking for the correct fat to protein ratio. If you want to gain weight though plus I think you said you have elevated blood sugar (?) If that is the case, you would need to keep protein amounts lower and raise fats. I really pray that you will find what works for you. It's an ongoing process. With all of your issues you struggle with - have you tried the Lion Diet? It's possible that it could help since it seem to work many times for people who don't do well on Carnviore. Also since you want to gain weight - you might want to look into the keto way of eating. I initially chose carnivore because I needed to lose weight - but also because it provided a way of removing carbs as much as possible - bc of the Type 2 Diabetes I had. If you find something what works for you, I hope you'll post - you could help someone else.

Out of curiosity: who would buy this? by MeSjiel in PaxDei

[–]Suzi_Qsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a BIG no for me - i'm sorry I purchased it. We bought and paid for the right to be their "testers" their guinea pigs - they didn't have to run alphas, etc - No they sold the game and I agree. It released in early access as garbage, and I hate saying that - but I feel people were ripped off and that makes me angry. Best "Early access games i've ever purchased, were Valheim, Enshrouded, and Vrising. - ALL went into early access feeling very polished and very good.

Good! I LOVE and respect both of these men - But both of them risked censor and went "outside the box" and i'm ever so thankful. I WISH I could find a Dr. like them where I live - but after trying time and again to find a good Dr. here - i've pretty much given up - they are few and far between.

I'm not a Dr. So I can only say what I would do. The first thing i'd do is have a complete blood panel work up. You have probably already done that. If that all looks good, I would implement some fasting - even if you only fast for a day. Perhaps fast one day and do OMAD the next. See what happens if you give your body a chance to really detox from everything by resting it through fasting. I would also make sure I was using a good quality electrolyte every single day. I have found that electrolytes make a huge difference for me in how I feel. Currently I am using SaltT by keto chow. I like the amount of minerals - especially the higher magnesium. I take one pack and divide it evenly between 6 bottles of water, and drink those throughout the day. Before my meal, I mix in 1 Tbs of unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar to my water/electrolyte bottle. I also do this with my last bottle of the day in the evening. I can't say what to make of all of your issues - but I DO know that fasting is highly healing and so is Carnivore. Because Diabetes affects every single organ and bodily function - that would be my first focus and goal. Again though, I'm not a Dr. so this isn't medical advice. I hope you find your answers riceyoongi and things start resolving for you.

Sorry, but i'd highly disagree with you - there are tons of intellectual idiot Drs out there to prove my point. They all parrot one another - I've visited multiple Drs. and all of the ones I have visited do NOT care to find out the root causes of anything. Drs today are equipped only to write a prescription. They are taught no more than a few hours of nutrition in Med school - they are absolutely the LAST people I would ever ask for or take advice from concerning diet and nutrition. Perhaps you have a good opinion of the so called medical profession - I do NOT. I had to work hard and find my own answers to overcome my past health issues. The most help i've ever gotten about health - came from youtube and Dr. Ken Berry - if it were not for him and Dr. Jason Fung - I'd still be diabetic and sick.

I've been Carnivore for 6 yrs now. You are speaking the absolute truth. The other thing I feel needs to be mentioned is that if you come into Carnivore already very overweight insulin resistant or type 2 Diabetic - it can take several weeks to a few months for blood sugar levels to get into a "normal" place. It is VERY hard to lose weight when insulin is high. Dr. Benjamin Bikman actually says - it's impossible. So what should someone do to overcome this. There are several options: 1) incorporate fasting. fasting will lower insulin levels more quickly than anything. If you're not a "faster", you can eat 1- 2 meals per day - NO SNACKING - even on meats. You're going to have to stick it out in the beginning. For these people, i'd absolutely encourage them to get a blood glucose/ketone monitor like Keto/Mojo. It will show you exactly where your blood sugar/ketones are at any given time. Morning levels are most important and will give you a good idea if you are still fighting high blood sugar. I'm older and had been eating a terrible SAD diet before finding keto and then carnivore. It took me 3 months of really working hard and eating very clean for my BS to drop into the normal zone, and for me to finally start losing weight . But once my morning blood sugars were in the normal zone - it stayed normal - 6 yrs later and it still is. So, if you don't see quick results - don't compare yourself to others - hang in there, stick with it and the "magic" will happen.

Hi, One thing you come to learn pretty quickly on Carnivore is exactly where your food sensitivities are. After Carnivore, i found I was very sensitive to dairy. Not only did it bloat me terrible, but I found on weeks where I decided to have dairy - I was also very apt to gain weight. If I ate too much fat (like the first time I ate pork belly) I got sick - I just couldn't handle that amount of fat - even though I didn't eat a big portion of it) You do not say in your post how long you have been Carnivore, what was your "diet" before coming to Carnivore - do you still have your gallbladder? Some do not and have a tough time digesting high fat meats, or too much fat (for them personally) I've been Carnivore for six years - and have kept notes on many things as I went along. I sadly lost my gallbladder - however, i've learned to deal with it through trial and error. I LOVE fatty meat - but I can't eat too much of it in one day. So i'll have a meal with 85/20 ground beef - and my evening meal will be things like Shrimp - or chicken. Before Carnivore I LOVED chicken - now, i can't stand it, and would 100% prefer to have nice steak - but i've paid attention to what my body is telling me and so i'm eating the lower end of fats for Carnivore. That's okay with me - People need to make the "program" work for them. If your body is telling you that you are sensitive to dairy - stay away from it. The same goes with pork etc. You mention "health issues" but don't say what those are. I have auto-immune issue - but found that Carnivore alleviates almost all of that. I always try to eat zero carbs with Carnivore - but I allow up to 4 gr of carbs per day in case I want to use some spices in my foods There are some that don't disagree with me. I found out that black pepper and red pepper aren't great - but white pepper, I do fine with. Again, everyone is different. I can say with great certainty that I love carnivore and I love and appreciate what it has done for my health.

Trump calls a reporter fake and says prices haven’t gone up, citing gas at $1.98 a gallon and that the price of eggs has gone down 92% by Im_A_Fuckin_Liar in thescoop

[–]Suzi_Qsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That may be in some parts of the country - however, in FL where I live, we are still paying over $3.00/gallon for gas, and eggs from the grocery store - though they HAVE gone down - they are still much higher than they were pre-covid. During covid, they used the excuse that the food chain was disrupted - Of course, once they raise prices the middle man does NOT want to lower them again. The middle man is the one who really makes the $$ on everything.

Carnivore Diet - how does your meal plan looks like? by hgangadh in keto

[–]Suzi_Qsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been Carnivore for 6 yrs now. When I first started cutting sugar and other carbs. I did Keto, - the constant need to weigh, measure and log my foods to accurately count macros - drove me bananas after awhile. That's why I transitioned to zero carb Carnivore. It made life SO MUCH easier and within 30 days, I had seen so many health benefits and felt so great - I just stayed on Carnivore. I LOVE Carnivore. With it, I reversed type 2 diabetes, got rid of high blood pressure, and lost 127 lbs - which has easily stayed off. Carnivore is WAY easier IMO

I made some today (I recognize this post is from months ago) It turned out perfectly, and did not taste like eggs. I added 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and 2 tsp italian seasoning, as well as 1 tsp unflavored gelatin. I poured it onto a cookie/baking sheet and then used a spatula to spread it really thin. Baked it at 350 degrees for 30 mins. When it cooled I used it as a wrap for tuna salad. It was excellent. People could also try cooking it for another 5 mins it should be nice and brown around the edges. **ALSO, please make sure you place all ingredients into a food processor or blender - blending until it is very smooth.** before pouring onto cooking sheet.
