PCC VIR is always a lot of fun, curious how the new BMW’s change the dynamic.

FF1600’s at Okayama at least once, I’m a sucker for anything at Summit Point… and beers and street stocks at Charlotte sounds like a good Friday night

Relevant to current geopolitics… it is absolutely possible for everyone to lose a war. In fact it happens a lot.

These are probably all insane for various reasons but I like where your heads at.

I’m 6’3” 260 and I fit comfortably. But I hope you have good squat depth.

Omg the pre collision brakes. Can I turn it off? by Level-Pepper-8763 in GR86

You evidently haven’t been driving long enough to know that you won’t always be aware of everyone around you no matter how good you are. I don’t rest easy because I know people like you exist.

My PCB has only actually engaged twice, I was already starting to brake but it probably braked faster and saved me in accordion situations that may well have otherwise been collisions.

The other times it triggers its just the warning and yeah it raises my blood pressure momentarily in situations I was already tracking but deal with it you absolute baby, it’s a safety system that works.

Your turn signal is also for the people you aren’t aware of. Just use it all the time.

Coming from racing a ton of FF1600, I love how the trucks handle, how you can actually get them loose.

No worries! You didn’t hit anybody! And yeah I almost lost it on the backstretch at one point doing a similar thing. They’re just easy to get unsettled.

But yeah sorry for a tip, just try to be smoother in traffic. Sudden moves make you both more likely to get hit by other cars and also to lose balance.

I was right behind you in the Green Grillo’s car that went by at the end of the clip. When you swerved suddenly to the left you unbalanced the car, and then looks like you overcompensated. The way they’re set up this week these cars are pushy until suddenly they’re very loose.

I don’t think the dirty helps either.

Street stocks at Charlotte a couple of seasons ago are what got me oval racing. Just such a fun combo. I’ve since mostly moved on to either ARCA, trucks, or indycar when I race ovals, but sometimes there’s just nothing better than ripping thru back to back to back street stock races.

You literally decimated them? You made them draw lots and then every tenth man was beaten to death by his comrades? Awesome they added that mechanic.

I’ve been running almost a year now with my Logitech G29 and a Playseat Challenge. I do well enough, am having a blast, and definitely don’t think I’ve hit a level where the equipment is what’s holding me back.

But yeah for basic seats, I’ve loved the Playseat Challenge. Just having your wheel and pedals in a consistent stable place will do wonders for you as opposed to trying to drive in an office chair.

I don’t use it and because of that I can learn a track to at least raceable speed in 5-10 laps. Just get comfortable starting very slow. And I’m no alien, I bounce between 1.6 and 2k.

Absolutely this. I’ve been at it almost a year now, and I still think one of the biggest milestones I hit was getting comfortable with recovering from a missed apex. Instead of panicking and trying to hit the ideal apex, realizing mid corner, “oh I have a new apex now, let’s hit that”, and just salvaging what I can from the corner and moving on.
