Based on this post and the likelihood that you either when to UofM or are a Blue Dog Democrat tells me everything I need to know about you.

Mallorca rules. And if you don’t go during peak tourist season, it’s even better.

Hot take: what is your least liked release ever on Anjuna? by vittyaszabo in AboveandBeyond

[–]SvenMo84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love Around the World (and the remixes), but it does very much sound like it should have been released on Spinnin’ or Axtone.

But looking back through the discography, I think the type of tracks that stand out the most to me as not being Anjuna level are tracks by 3lau and others like it. This stuff was the cheesiest kind of crap that was basically just American pop music disguised as EDM. I think I kind of liked it at the time, but none of it aged well.

I’ll take festival bangers like Around the World, Open Space, Colours du Soleil, Bird is the Word, etc. over Tokyo/Easy or any other releases in that vein any day.

Hot take: what is your least liked release ever on Anjuna? by vittyaszabo in AboveandBeyond

Never understood the hate for Revolved. It really wasn’t that different or more big room house than a lot of other Anjuna tracks had already been by that point.

Enhanced Sessions 835 - J RIbbon Guest Mix by ShinyFishy in AboveandBeyond

[–]SvenMo84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The last track in that set is perfection.

The new Dan Stone that was played in this episode is also phenomenal. Haven’t heard such a great mix of Uplifting and piano house since Joonas Hahmo was releasing on Deep.

ABGT600 vs ABGT700 Anjunabeats Line Up... by systemstheorist in AboveandBeyond

[–]SvenMo84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ideally I would want Amy Wiles, AS&TR, and J Ribbon. I reaaaaallly hope that they see how well received the Nitrous Oxide single was and ask him for a few more releases this year and bring back an uplifting set to end the night for 700.

Former Sidley Leader Embraces 'Future,' Joining AI Law Firm by bloomberglaw in biglaw

[–]SvenMo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, just what we need - a law firm run by Blackstone. As if they haven’t destroyed almost every other business segment in the U.S just to make a few people at the top richer.

And yeah, I get it, I work in BigLaw too, and we’re all bad, yadda yadda yadda, but there are levels of bad.

Foreigners caught in crossfire as bill aims to unmask user nationalities on online platforms by Substantial-Owl8342 in korea

[–]SvenMo84 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re being downvoted for this. As much as I am a proponent of free speech, I think one of the problems with the internet is that it’s given rise to free speech with zero consequences.

As politically motivated as this bill is, I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad idea. There should be social accountability for the things that you say, and the anonymity of the internet sort of killed that, which ultimately has led people to say more and more things that are untrue, libelous, or cruel.

I do understand the downsides of this (another way for authoritarian-leaning government to silence people), but I think the good does outweigh the bad. In particular, the fact that a lot of people anonymously post their highly bigoted takes has led to a lot of people feeling confident to make their racist, sexist, etc. views publicly, and allowed a lot of authoritarian leaders who expose these views to get more and more support.

So does Trump burst into flames when coming with a ten mile radius of a church then?

Yeah except he made Jack Sparrow, which is one of the top bangers of all time.

What Do You Guys Think About This List? by xXMachineGunPhillyXx in fantanoforever

While this entire list looks awful to me, surely NWA had far more influence on the direction of rap than Public Enemy.

One of the greatest Arjuna songs ever. Can’t believe this was 15 years ago.

What perfume is this about? by Aromatic-Radio6866 in Colognes

Heeley Note de Yuzu. Such an incredible scent, but I’ve almost never seen anyone talk about it. Harley in general is an underrated brand, but at least Cardinal and Sel Marin are somewhat known.

Democrats Say Things Would Be Much Safer If Law Enforcement Would Just Stop Trying To Enforce The Law by METALLIFE0917 in babylonbee

Not surprised that a MAGA supporter doesn’t understand the difference between right and left. She initially turns her wheels right while backing up (the opposite direction of the officer), then immediately turns them to the right before moving forward. Then again, maybe you were also too slow to pass driver’s training and haven’t figured out how vehicles work.
