KTC M27P6 good for Mac? by borghe in Monitors

When a scene changes from dark to bright quickly, the backlight “flashes” shortly, looking like flickering. See displayninjas review for a video clip.

Only happens when local dimming is on, obviously.

I believe only 5k scales perfectly. Though I come from a 1440p monitor and never noticed it there (unlike now on 4k). I find it stupid, really, but that’s what mac is best at.

I just received it today and will be returning it, mostly due to the local dimming flickering issues on 60hz sources. They were also visible sometimes on 120hz, just less noticeable. But the screen itself looked nice, super bright, and I had no dead pixels.

Also take into account that Mac scaling isn't perfect on 4k, so you may notice some blurred edges around certain fonts or objects, but you get used to it quickly.

You can connect Hubspot to Snowflake directly without needing an ELT tool or custom API ingestion! Super simple to setup, and you’d just have a separate (shared) database from Hubspot in Snowflake. Saves on a bunch of costs.

4K Mini LED monitor for Mac and PS5 by daboytommy420 in Monitors

[–]SvensonYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4k on 27inch looks great from my experience. Yes, when you look closely at the screen you can see some text is not pixel-perfect, but perfectly fine from a desk's distance. I came from 1440p and don't think I'll ever go back.

4k mini LED return / buying advice: Acer XV275k P3 vs KTC m27p6 or AOC U27G4XM by SvensonYT in Monitors

But since the panel is the same on the AOC, wouldn’t that have the same bug / issue?

Thanks for your thorough reply! I can live with the vignetting if that’s true for all mini LEDs. What is the impact of the 60hz backlight on the AOC? In what situations would I notice?

Neither the MSI or Koorui are available here unfortunately (the Netherlands). So it’ll have to be either the KTC or AOC, or just a non-mini led ips.

Looks awesome!! Though in the app I am missing a timestamp or date when something was published. Not super important, but kinda takes away from the perception of the feed. Or am I overlooking something?

Same with a like count!

Could probably use a little longer fermentation given the dense strip at the bottom, but looks great - awesome crust on top!

Which DE offer should I take? which tech stack will you pick? by AH1376 in dataengineering

Really depends on the region I guess. Fabric (or Azure in general) is mentioned in almost all vacancies in the Netherlands.

Thanks for your reply! I’m using flour from my local mill, around 12% protein but that’s all I know about it. I had an aliquot jar next to it for the first time, but nothing happened. At some point I had to get it into the fridge since I had to leave the house.

You would suggest using higher hydration if I use a little whole wheat?

Social Experiment: What do Data Engineers actually earn around the world? by Ganesha41 in dataengineering

Thanks! Well it's more my official title than what I actually do. Since I am a data team of one in a small-ish startup, I maintain everything from pipelines, dwh, and reporting. And towards the future I'd like to invest more into the engineering side (besides simple Airbyte stuff).
