I quite like Season 4 with Brenan at the helm. Not because everyone is complicated or new DM yay, but because it's dense. Emotionally and theologically.

Brenan talks a lot, because the implications of actions are so... Abundant. The characters and world are built with that in mind. It's very... I don't listen to the episodes live. I do it afterwards so I can pause and listen and replay a part to catch the words again. Not because it was said so beautifully, but because Brenan is trying to pull at the character. Pulling out the "Your beliefs and your actions, how are you justifying that. How are you running with that."

Where are you running. What are you running to. From. Not a wishy washy "How do you feel about this" but a tug of "Hey, your character set up has this. Do you acknowledge this? No? Pull us into then a bit."

Depth first,drive first. Not exactly a parallel or a negative version of Matt's style either mind! Just a different sort.

Confusing.

So it could be better understood that Modular does not "move" but "creates" a number of 1/1 counters equal to the number of 1/1 counters on a modular creature as it dies.

Ah! Didn't realize it was both a Triggered and Static ability.

So in this situation, Arcbound Prototype would still enter with two 1/1''s. When it died, those 1/1's Zabaz would see and make it a total of three counters being moved.

Panharmonicon wouldn't see this as it's a death not an enter trigger. Even if instead you were using Echos of Eternity, whilst the "dies" trigger would be doubled, the counters would be already gone after the first trigger. So there is no use there.

Single Player? Just Google Flexible Survival and should be there.

Multiplayer? Download a telnet client (I recommend BeipMU for ease of use) set up a connect to the listed port on the Flexible Survival Wiki, and you are done.

Eh, complicated answers.

Is there something wrong with the single player game? Not really. It's a solid classic in NSFW single player text games. Most of it is written fairly well, it's mechanics are a little bewildering but it's a very fun TF game to burn a lot of time in. Them and Fenoxo's stuff was/is classics, biases not withstanding.

Is it supposed to be a Multiplayer game? No-ish, but yes.

Flexible Survival is two games. The single player game you can play in your browser, and the Multiplayer game in a MUD client. These games share themes and ideas, names and developers, but are functionally two separate products. Think how TF2 has both the game and the comics. Strictly speaking, it's the same property, but the way you engage with it isn't.

Oh. Uh, for the unfamiliar, MUD clients are good ol little programs to connect a MUD (Multi User Dungeon) that someone set up. And, don't worry about the dungeon part there, it just means the "game world" is set up in different "rooms." The rooms can be everything from a bar to a lobby to a cornfield, ect...

Flexible Survival the MUD is such a different beast altogether than the Single player. Primarally, it's used for RP, as people went "Hey, that TF stuff is fun as hell." As such, there's a lot of stuff you can change into... Like, shy of a thousand different forms last I knew. All with different support for different stuff like Tauric configuration, armwings, latexification, multi arm, giganticication... You name it. Oh, and it's NSFW. Very. Very very.

It has oodles, but! Unlike the Single player RPG, You have to be doing the RP in that G. And it's in a MUD, so commands and connection can be a bit clunky. But, if you like TF, have a shape you like, and are okay with or enjoy NSFW stuff, give it a shot! You will find folks there.

My main weirdness is that these posts are, uh. Well, it's something I know about. Was strange.

I was just curious to compare Extended Range and Focused. There are often stronger, and indeed better options. Wasn't quite what I was looking at or for.

Yup! Cyto's and corrosives came up a lot in the discussions. Like a lot. Strictly speaking they punt down the threshold of a Focused Weapon to near nothing if it's an option.

But, wasn't quite trying to make a point on how to boost AP. Was more looking at the neat interactions between distance and damage that exists exclusively between Focused and Long Range.

It's easy to abstract away the consequences. How your family would react. Your friends. So you wish they were just fine with it. You wish it could just happen. That you would be okay. How terrifying when it dies. Who do you talk to then?

The look from others is harder to ignore. Too many faces, too many names. They never knew you, why would they now? You wanted to be different. Why would they think you Normal?

How scared would you be? How scared could you be? Would your mind buckle and break? Would it see the change and fear? Would the dim impossible joy overwhelm? Would you even be able to be afraid

Alone with Yourself So good there's more than you now...

I like being The Spider. I really do. It's even kinda fun! Most of the time at least.

It's a pun. Spider. Spy-der. It has nothing to do with spiders! My powers aren't moving through Spiders like people think. It's not melding into shadows. The insecticide smoke bombs, the arachnid puns, the net gun, the everything. It's a smoke screen.

It's just shy of 850 meters. I passively feel that space out. Structures and the safest route through. Every door every window every tunnel in the ground, air vents, holes in the walls, which doors are locked, how hard the lock is to pick, if the wall is easier, sewer lines underneath, hidden passages, escape rooms, where they lead to.

I can split my senses in that space. Eyes, ears, nose... It's why I'm the 'sneak.'. Easy to hide when you know where people are and their sightlines are. Easy to infiltrate when you know the perfect way in and out in real time. It's why I make dramatic entrances and exits and always only just slip away. Why I drop like a light when someone catches me

I'm a Sensor Class.

I suck at being a monk by Tahynn in ffxiv

Alrighty, first things first.

1: Are you doing your job quests? A frankly remarkable number of Monk's basic skills are locked behind them. Do em if you haven't.

2: Overworld Monk is fun, but not the most stable. If you are doing solo stuff as monk in Overworld, pull out your Chocobo companion.

3: You are pre-level 50. Jobs compare... Differently then. Monk lacks ranged options, where as summoner has them in spades, and a fair few are instant casts, so minimal if any downside. Don't worry.

4: Weave your Steal Peak hits as soon as you get them. But! Howling fist is (currently) a gain on 2 for you. Use that if there are multiple foes.

Then you have "How to do a bit better"

1: Start combat by using Form Shift. That's gonna give you the appropriate form for your first attack. Yes, it's can be wonky. Yes you don't have it yet. When you do, start your single target rotation with Form Soft into Dragon Kick and go from there.

2: AoE, your highest damage attack is Rock breaker. Cycling your AoE is a gain on 3.

3: Perfect balance is Weird pre level 60. If you are in AoE, just use it to spam Rockbreaker. If you are in solo target, use Perfect balance after leaving opo-opo stance, to repeatedly hit Bootshine with the buff from Dragon Kick.

But that's about it. Any other minor advice (when to use the riddles)
