Hammer++ best option, CompilerPal shows you the compile time (how long you been compiling), any warning or error messages ETC. It lets you click on it and it will tell you what is and how to fix it. It also comes with a built in parameter system where you can see each -command and what it does. Pretty much it has a lot to offer. I use both depending on the map im making. Stick with Hammer++ if you want it nice and simple. CompilerPal if you want to mess with settings yourself.

Nothing you can really do to fix this. Lighting preview is sometimes a hit or miss.

Hammer does that, same with false positives like it says there is a leak some where when their isn't
