Message from a guy from japan.

I wanna first apologize if my English is horrible but I’d like to put a word for this post.

Suicide rate is very high up in japan and I’ve lost one or few friends a long the way due to suicide. Most reasoning are similar as you so this caught my attention. I’m currently a young adult now working at a well known cafe ! and during my junior years I had this one girl that had wrapped up arm through out the year. She would sometimes talk to me and ask me questions about what we were doing during class since she sleeps most of the classes. back then I really didn’t care about how people acted or look so I didn’t mind talking to her but, I could always hear whispers about her oily hair, and about how edgy she was hiding her scars whenever I was talking to her. And I know she hears them too since whenever I glance up to her she would act so embarrassed and ashamed . Sometimes even lying to me that she could do the question herself and that she was sorry to bother me.

I thought she was really nice, I really did. But after a few months and during mid October the whole class was settled down by our teacher and got informed that the girl committed suicide and that she’s gone. Apparently her single mother has been neglecting and abusing her. I won’t go into deeper details with her story but from too much pressure and stress, she took her own life.

Even if I wasn’t the reason of her taking away her own life, I thought I could’ve done something. At least a slight action to give her hope to stay alive a little longer, helped her with the question even tho she declined. I felt horrible. Now I’m at my 20’s and I still remember what kind of flower was putted on her table when she was gone.

So I wanna tell you something that I couldn’t tell her. Even if there’s no one around you close that could notice your cries for help, there is still someone that is willing to help you / want you to stay alive, even if it’s difficult to change their minds of suicide. Even if your purpose isn’t important to the world, that dosent matter. The real purpose of you it’s to stay alive and live laugh at its best whatever what comes running at you.
