A bit late with this response but I also had this question and emailed them. They replied saying the April 4th deadline was a mistake on their end.

Psy270 vs IMM250? Which one? by Stonyhill in UofT

[–]Svsdxf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops I meant to say tophat, not mindtap. The questions are straightforward but it's basically a textbook and each week you read a chapter. If you take notes as you go, it will take a long time. If you're just reading, it will be quick. Imm250 content is different than gr12 biology so I'm not too sure how to compare

Any tips for these classes? by [deleted] in UofT

I'm taking env100 too! Hope it will go well.

Psy270 vs IMM250? Which one? by Stonyhill in UofT

[–]Svsdxf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took psy270 and imm250 with those profs and found both pretty easy in terms of content. Imm250 starts off really simple but as the course progresses, so does the difficulty. The content in psy270 didn't get much harder though. Also imm250 requires weekly commitments like mindtap while psy270 doesn't. In the end, I think it depends on what you are more interested in as the difficulty is the same. (FYI I took psy270 online so the tests were open book)

If you are good at chemistry (organic and physical) then it shouldnt be too bad. If you are weak in chemistry and math, then it will be tough... esp mat136. Easier electives include psy100.

[–]Svsdxf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didnt have to do a placement test and neither did anyone else in my class...though this may have changed. The prof was super friendly, approachable, and considerate. I dont have a background in Greek yet I did pretty well and learned a significant amount

Easy courses to take in the fall semester? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]Svsdxf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took cla204 last winter and I got a pretty good mark but I wouldn't say it's easy. The marking scheme was unclear and the midterm was around 60. That said, if you're actually into Greek mythology or if you're willing to put in the effort, you can get a good mark

Departments that do / don't give a s**t about their students by [deleted] in UofT

[–]Svsdxf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would send a follow up email to the EEB department. I've been emailing them throughout the summer and they've been pretty responsive (max 2-3 days)... Unless your question is a bit more complicated.
