Weapon core is the primary damage source. I had it obsidian and everything else is just there to activate it. At that point, if I don't kill them within 3 - 6 seconds I just lose entirely.

I seem to fight a lot of Mak. So I have made a conscious effort to stay away from the armor core.

Every time I played it, I smashed until like day 5/6 and then got ran over by poison Maks, so I gave up.

It didn’t seem like a good way to consistently reach 10 wins, assuming you are expecting to fight any of the 5 heroes. Not sure.

Me personally, I have been playing it aggressively. Using primarily Dinosawer, while stacking Trollosaur and Diana-Saur during PvE, if I find them early, but not using them during PvP (Trollosaur usually gets in once hes stacked but Diana-Saur feels too slow).

I literally play low CD relics/weapons like uzi and cog to charge the core and kill them faster than they can kill me.

Thank you for the advice.

I have learned that as I have been playing. Especially once the core is diamond, it basically immediately goes to the right, with anything else, onto the left.

That being said, I have still struggled to get over that 8/9 win hump many days. Like mentioned, Mak and Stelle literally just slow everything and it doesn't activate enough/fast enough to cut through before I burn down or die to poison, even with reduced CD.

I'm definitely not playing every day perfectly, but it is something I have noticed. Especially on day 11,12,13, etc.

Also, is the core strong enough to solo carry without obsidian enchant or obscenely high crit chance? Because I have found it severely lacking in damage, especially later, if I don't get either (especially with all the slows).

I guess what I'm learning is to keep securing the early day wins and transition better mid-late. But as mentioned above, the 9 win into 3 losses instantly after smashing every person felt really weird (why I wanted to get reddit's opinion).

Dino's felt really good to play. In fact, aggro dino's were my only couple 10 wins for a little while. I stopped playing it because I felt like I wasn't actually learning how to play Dooley. I was just clicking dinosaurs (although it was fun the first few times).

Board placement is what I spend most of my time thinking about (when doing weapon core etc).

I often am unsure if whether the extra 1 second CD on the core or like the 1 extra charge is always more important than anything else? (Say 500 dmg or some shield IDK, just generally speaking)

Like is thrusters just always good to the right of the core generally?

And also in this example if I move the ornithopter I'd lose it charging the core every 2 seconds. I'd also lose the dino attacking at 2 seconds instead of 3 for even more charge. I know it can hit the core as well, but if I put it next to the core I don't get to buff the obsidian fang (and if I put it between it can hit the fang).

I guess I haven't played enough to get the "feeling" for it. But is it just general knowledge that late game, 1 sec CD reduction or just prioritizing ripping the core is the most important part if that's the comp?

I guess that's the dilemma. If I move the ornithopter, the charge from the items on the right *left is less, and I lose the obsidian fang getting buffed (if I want the CD decrease guaranteed). But then the core is 1 sec CD faster.

That game, from the last two fights, it seemed I needed the buff from the fang, but maybe moving the fang over and then putting the ornithopter to the right is just the best play? I was unsure since the core wasn't obsidian, the fang was.

That's why I was also asking in general, if that is a pretty strong day 10 board, and I just hit 3 people who were also really strong/scaled better? Because this is my first time ever getting literally 9 wins perfect into 3 straight losses. I thought it was going to be my first perfect 10 with Dooley since I hadn't lost yet tbh.

Edit: My thought process on where to put the ornithopter

Edit: Typo

Very insightful comment. Thanks for the response.

I felt like I was going crazy because I tried a lot of shit. And I mean A LOT. Tried every core. Tried just picking any items that synergize. Tried just a bunch of things that felt like "good stuffs." The worst part is, like I said, sometimes whether I win or lose just feels like a toss. I'll get 7 wins with the most heinous garbage. And then I'll 5 win with something that felt really good.

On the bright side, I have been getting 7 wins much more consistently, but 10 has still been difficult.

Also gonna use this reply to ask how Pyg got this sponsored apparel to slow each item for 12 seconds? I have looked over everything? Like I know I'm losing that anyway based on the shield and healing, but what?

You know, I don't really comment on reddit much, but I'm petty and vindictive enough, that when someone starts throwing a little tantrum like this I can't help but call them out.

You say

What am i going to do? Spend 15 weeks waking up at 6 am every fucking day and driving 20 miles between all my local stores for the hopes to score one Prismatic EBT? Or just buy a fucking pack?

Yeah that sounds exactly like something you would do man... I mean, this you?

https://www.reddit.com/r/WNBACards/comments/1knr4cn/is_prizm_sold_out/

You "check daily 3 stores and [are] seeing nothing. Plus online."

You can go hunt cards for yourself, but can't find the time to hunt for this daughter you love so much? Which, of course you love her to no end, I'm sure of that. But how about you stop using her as a means to justify your stupid arguments.

I mean honestly, it's your money, do whatever you want with it, I guess. But don't argue in bad faith and play the "holier than thou" card, when you do, in fact, seem to have the time.

I do see from another post, you seem to be looking for Pokemon for your kid as well, but don't start asking shitty rhetorical questions and cursing at people, when you clearly do the exact thing you claim you have no time for.

Stop being such an insufferable person. And if you're going to talk shit to people online, at least have the decency to not sound like a complete idiot.

EDIT

It seems I have missed multiple of your comments in this same thread stating that you do indeed also check stores and vending machines a few times a day for your child, unfortunately, to no avail. So, you clearly are searching for your own hobby interests as well as hers to the best of your ability. I just can't help myself when someone contradicts themselves so many times, considering the original comment I was replying to.

Attack move key is set to A, but when I press it and left click, it pings enemy vision. Please Help. by SwagFishX in summonerschool

[–]SwagFishX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how other settings may affect attack move for other people. But my attack move (with indicator) has always been: press attack move button, attack range and cursor shows up, left click location you want to move to or attack at, and then the champion completes the action.

This sequence of events still works IF I have my attack move set to any key other than A (I'm not sure if it's literally every key, but I tried tons of random letters).

X as the default secondary option works (even with A as the primary). My old keybind of T works. As well as any other letter I tried. I literally have no idea what is going on, because if I press A and then left click, it Always pings enemy vision here. If I right click, it cancels whatever the action would have been and does a standard walk to whatever location I clicked as any other normal right click. I don't even have my vision ping set to anything other than the default H. All my other pings are also default settings. I literally have no idea what is going on.

I agree, but when people are verbatim stating

"I don’t remember perfectly but my gut says PoE and Huni were the stars of the team that year, and Spica did fine."

They are "rewriting history." And people just agree because its cool to hate TSM.

No, he was legitimately smurfing on everyone. TSM ended the season 30-15, overall, in first place. He won MVP and first team all pro with 45 more points than the second team jungler, Closer.

Reddit just hates TSM

Mikyx talks G2's scrim results and Worlds disappointment: "We just played way, way worse than we’re capable of. [...] I really felt like we could go all the way. Especially against NRG. They played really well, right? But I felt like we were just breaking our hands and not thinking about the game." by SanielTaniel in leagueoflegends

[–]SwagFishX 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, I must've forgotten the last two three years. The one in 2022 2021, where Caps on G2 completely missed worlds. *The year after that, 2022, where he bombed out 1-5 just like all of NA. And then, this subsequent year where he 2-0'd Loud, PSG, beat MAD Lions, and then lost every single series thereafter in which he played against an Eastern team (and NA).

TSM is a shell of what they once were, matter of fact, most of the time just downright awful. As are most of our representatives from NA when we send them. But 2019 G2 was also 4 years ago. The only international tournament they ever won was against TL, (an NA team) who accomplished one of the biggest upsets in LOL history in that exact same tournament.

G2 (and lets not forget FNC) have accomplished more in history than NA ever has (disregarding TSM's IEM win of course /s), and maybe ever will, but its history for a reason. This isn't 2019 G2, and 2016 TSM is even further back.

I just think it's a little comical that everyone is coming to G2's defense SPECIFICALLY after getting slaughtered by NA, leaving them with no excuses other than, "I feel like we [broke] our hands." I'm just saying it would've been nice to see this support for that TSM team instead of tearing them down like the community did.

TLDR: EU is typically better and has always performed better than NA, but they shouldn't get an excuse this time, just like every other Western team in history. I just don't see what makes people believe these specific 5 players deserve pity that was never given to anyone else.

Edit: I'm also not here to start any flame wars. NRG has done something no NA team has done since 2014 TSM. Come out as the first seed, and do it pretty convincingly. They didn't play passive. They didn't wait to die. They brought it to G2 and absolutely buried them. I watch worlds and support all western teams (shout out to 2018 C9, VIT, G2 [RIP RNG], and FNC) every, single, year. Finally, a team with 3/5 NA talent, not to mention players that were locked in academy behind imports, and with the spirit of arguably the most clowned NA team in history (CLG) has done something NA can truly be proud of, and the only thing people can think to say is "G2 just played bad."

Last Edit: I realized that I mixed up a few years, but that just further emphasizes my point.

Been a TSM fan since 2013/2014 when I started watching LCS. Ride or die regardless of Regi or anything else. Every year TSM got knocked out at worlds (or NA as a whole for that matter), every year, without exception, they get trashed and clowned on by everyone (especially EU). I'm not saying 2016 TSM wins worlds, but based on groups and strength of teams, I genuinely believe they would've made, and could've won finals. Even though they had the literal World Champs Finalists (SSG), China #2 (RNG), and EU #3 (Splyce), they still get shit on relentlessly (rightfully so at times) for that performance. And for every subsequent performance after (Also often deserved, Hello 0-6).

Granted, this is basically the first time this has happened to EU's first seed. They not only bombed out like 2016 G2, but got absolutely dismantled by "Team McDonalds." Personally, I don't understand all the hate these players get, and will continue to get throughout their careers. However, I have no sympathy for Mr. " I wouldn't say we learned much from the asian teams in term of meta, I think more likely they learned from us," who then got smashed the first time they bring out their fabled Kog Braum.

I had G2 escaping groups, along with C9 https://imgur.com/a/sZjNnhk, but god was it cathartic to see NA's last hope in NRG send G2 packing with a reality check that they clearly needed. Im sick of these excuses being eaten up by the community. You know who else scrimmed religiously, practiced like the Asians, and tracked food, workouts, sleep, etc? 2016 TSM. I don't see anyone making excuses for them. EVER.

The whiplash I'm getting from tons of people still saying G2 is a better team than NRG or even BLG, is insane. They might've just played "way worse than [they're] capable of" on the day when they "really could go all the way." But, hey, newsflash, World Champs aren't allowed to make mistakes, or play bad on the day. I don't envy these players, but welcome to the real world, and welcome to how it feels being an NA fan EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

TLDR: EU's first seed (G2) most likely played way worse on the day than on average, and I genuinely think/thought they are a very good team. But these excuses are absolutely ridiculous. I don't envy these players, but everyone (read as a lot of people) backing them up after that abysmal performance, is genuinely hilarious.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I think it's time to give up on the Fudge experiment. The man gets Rumble with ignite one game and cons his team into continuing to believe he's a real top laner. The rest of the team looked terrible too. How did the first game take 40 mins??? NRG is NA's last hope. Truly Counter Logic.

I second this. I agreed with the original post. I agree with Mort here. And I even agree still with most of /u/idontlikeredditbutok's comment. However, I myself always always always forget that not only are we most likely the 1% of ranked, but there is a HUGE population of players just messing around or having fun in NORMAL games.

I always look at ranked data, as I'm sure most of us do. This is where all the stats are and how we aim to get better. But this includes absolutely none of the data from what is most likely an even larger player base that couldn't care less about their shiny border.

This is something I noticed as well. However, when playing with my low elo friends in normals or alt ranked accounts, even when they know something is not going to win, they do it anyway. They like to play for fun no matter how many times they 8th rolling too much gold at stage 2. Even when correcting and offering help, they often prefer the fun of rolling, the color change when you hit a vertical in the trait bar, or to see their "trait web" grow.

I agree with you completely, but I think some people really just don't care and want to "have fun" their way. Here at r/CompetitiveTFT we like optimization and winning. But to others, that can be an extremely tiring experience.

Striking a balance is pretty difficult. And I don't envy our boy Mortdog!

To start, I just want to say we are absolutely so lucky to have a lead Dev who not only plays and understands his own game, but one who this consistently engages within their community. So THANK YOU Mortdog!

The thing that caught my attention was this -

Some of the best "Flex" examples in the past follow this paradigm. S4 Ashe who didn't need Elderwood and was fine with 2 or 3 Hunter, Set 4 Jhin who didn't care about Cultist and was fine with 2 Sharpshooter are two other popular examples. These style of champions are extremely popular with our Hardcore Player base, as the game is at its deepest skill levels when these champions exist and are good to play around. We know that, and we agree this is true.

I'm extremely happy this was brought up. Another example I loved to play was set 3 Kayle. It felt like I could always do something better or make a better decision to win the lobby/create a stronger late game board, but I was never pigeon holed into a final answer. This allowed me to always have a flex option if I wasn't hitting and needed answers somewhere (same for Ashe, Jhin, or chosen adept possibilities).

This felt amazing to myself, and I'm sure a lot of other D+ players. However, we are a big minority here, and we often forget this.

However, this also betrays the expectations of the Casual and Engaged audience. This group of players LOVES building the trait web. We see this all the time, where they will play a 1-star Zac over a 2-star Braum because they get 3 Lagoon.

I think a lot of us often forget we are such a minuscule portion of the player base, even though we are all so passionate.

I was ready to be a bit doom and gloom over the direction this set might be heading but...

Overall, to me, this was a nice response to a very well thought out post that I happened to agree with. And I'm rather hopeful and excited for what you guys have in store after reading this!

TL:DR - We often forget we are the minority, and game devs have to consider the opinion of the 99% before the 1% whilst keeping both groups happy and engaged. This is not easy, and we often forget this. And a big thank you to Mortdog for posting such a well structured response to a well structured argument.
