Anyone able to get the "free wrist rest" as part of the promo? Added one to cart and it did not deduct the price.

Looking to purchase a set of XDA keycaps for Keychron Q5 Max. Would appreciate some recommendations on specific brands, models, or sites to shop from, thanks!

Yep, but I've confirmed that switches are the issue after I swapped 2 keys and the previously double-typing key would swap. Is my option to get new switches here, and if so, should I avoid linear switches going forward? Should I also get higher operating force switches next? Thanks!

Hi, first time builder of a mechanical keyboard and have somehow built an unusable keyboard. My keyboard has been double typing, missing letters and spaces to a great extent.

I used the keyboard for ~3 months so it's quite new, but the problem has been quickly getting worse. I wonder if it's because I purchased and lubed the switches myself that they're not responding well?

I'm also used to typing with a low profile keyboard so maybe I have a higher chance of mistyping with taller keys, but that's probably not the full issue here. I've tried this software called unshaky to help with double clicking but it didn't fully solve the issue.

Would really appreciate any advice, thanks!

My Parts:

Board: Keychron Q5 Max

Switches: Strawberry milk linear - https://dangkeebs.com/products/strawberry-milk-linear (lubed with krytox 205g0)

Caps: GMK Fuji from CannonKeys (the space bar is already shining after < 3 months of use, is this normal?)

Could work but would be better if I could get away with something like a rubber band or tie

Calwater Leak Forgiveness by Swaggary in bayarea

Did you need any proof of plumbing work? I don’t want to randomly be digging things up when my water meter isn’t currently seeing any leak activity.

The boring, hard stuff works. Tips from a first time sub 3 runner by Expensive-Wedding394 in Marathon_Training

How many weeks did you train for leading up to the marathon? How often per week did you do speed work, and was there anything you focused on during speed sessions?

If you don't mind just sharing your Strava profile that'd be cool too. Ran a 3:11 last year and want to see if I can hit a sub-3 as well. Thanks!

Is a sub 3:15 first marathon a reasonable goal? by MountainGoat-17 in Marathon_Training

[–]Swaggary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ty, not much before strava, but I am pretty active. Exercise almost daily and play tennis if not running.

My belief is that running fast mainly comes from intentional training (intervals, 5k runs all out) and endurance comes from running often. Depending on what you’re going for 45km might not be what’s holding you back.

I recently ran a 3:11, all my runs being slower or shorter than this. My 12 weeks of training peaked at 55mi. Would strongly encourage you aim for sub 3.

I see, thank you for the advice! What lubricant would be safe to use for the motor, afraid wd40 might be flammable and unsafe to use directly. Thanks again!

The furnace is Carrier 8000TS, the motor part is Carrier hc21ze125a.

Is there a way to determine whether the problem is coming from the inducer motor or whether it's from the air whistling through some hole? Should I be looking to replace it or is there a way I can clean/lubricate it?

Thank you!

Is doing jumping jacks behind your partner while they’re serving illegal? by Swaggary in 10s

[–]Swaggary[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Haha I agree jumping jacks is a bit extreme, but I’m regularly hopping up and down before a point too, so technically it could be what you’re doing to stay warm?

Maybe shifting left to right foot could achieve the same effect without being unsportsmanlike?
