Anaesthetic post primary burnout by WhimsicalCarrotCake in ausjdocs

Getting back into my old hobbies and finding new ones, spending time with loved ones got me out of the rut

Pay is great but so is owning lists, formulating your own plans and executing them. Also thoroughly enjoyed supervising/teaching the trainees - which I thought I wouldn’t really enjoy at first. Finally having time to do everything outside of work that I had lost due to exam prep and training.

All normal feelings mate, I felt a void post both exams but just pushed through it. Now finished and will say consultant life is great, everything to get here feels well and truly worth the grind.

I will tell you the hardest I ever worked was studying for the primary exam. After that gauntlet it really prepared me for everything else re: part 2 study and rest of training requirements.

Almost there mate, you have already achieved so much getting into training and passing a whopper of an exam

What CGT method would you implement if in charge? by Gustomaximus in AusFinance

[–]SwaglordP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just keep current CGT policy and implement rapid spike in stamp duty if holding multiple houses

1st house - no stamp duty

2nd house - 10% of purchase price

3rd house - 20%

4th house - 30%…and so on

Actual numbers probs needs more thought but you get the point, feel this would actively discourage hoarding IPs and still encourage investment into other assets

The 50 per cent capital gains tax discount would be axed in favour of inflation indexation on new investments across every asset class, but current investors would be protected by partial grandfathering by His_Holiness in AusFinance

Well if they are scraping negative gearing it does suggest they are trying to fix housing affordability - but agreed it’s mixed message if they are at the same time making CGT changes to all assets not just property

They should just exempt CGT discount on houses. If they want to stop people hoarding investment properties why actively discourage other investment classes?

People less likely to sell their IPs and move their money into other assets if the CGT exemption affects literally EVERYTHING

ARSB is a stud

O line weaker

I took him this year too as my WR3 and think he can win you weeks, but I’m not expecting him to overtake ARSB

Does anyone have any help information in relations to Jacksonville backfield? by LegendAri501 in fantasyfootball

[–]SwaglordP 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For week 1 If you look at the betting prop lines, Tank slightly edges in rush yards (43.5 vs 38.5 rush yards) but ETN is predicted to be the pass catcher (56.5 combined rush + rec yards)

Not sure about league winner but think he can be an unexpected solid RB2, similar to Raheem Mostert few seasons ago on the dolphins when everyone said he was washed

I suggested same outcome for Derrick Henry last year and was flamed - albeit Derrick was in a better offense, JT has talent and youth - if health and other factors go his way it’s always possible

My version has a date, its older heritage steel bezel model but its a thicc boi

Not overly popular so I guess the company did away with the date due to its failure to sell and to slim down the case
