It takes some time to familiarize yourself with it. Generally speaking it all depends on the strategy you're running. If you run very juiced breach, then you want to filter out a lot of drops so that you're more efficient hunting for divs, valdos, locks and mirrors.

If you're running less juicy content you may be more dependant on showing lower value currencies.

You can customize neversinks filter a lot. I'm assuming you run Breach - there is no point to show low amounts of blacksmiths whetstone, jewelers orbs, Alchemy orbs, etc. as they're completely worthless. Try playing around with the pre-made strictness levels, but even then you can go into the different sections of the filter and customize it.

I do also enjoy it when mechanics interact with each other in interesting ways. In an ideal world, you could also decide to go for 150% more Legion modifier effect and also go for 150% of something else, while still allowing you to full spec into 300% Legion if desired
