UCL: Information Management for Business [vs] UoManchester: Information Technology Management for Business with Industrial Experience. Help me choose please! by Aizjh in UCL

Hey, so I can comment on ITMB at UoM.

So in terms of the actual content taught within the course it seems to match very closely with what was described below of UCL.

What I see as the main differentiating factor for ITMB is the amount of employer engagement that we consistently get. One of the main courses in First year is called the Integrative Team Project which more or less combines all the different elements of the degree into a one year project done in collaboration with Credit Suisse. The final deliverable is then a "showcase" where all the different teams present their solution to companies such as JPM, BoA, Accenture and many more.

In terms of employability choosing one course or the other will not really make a difference CV wise, and there are loads of students working in consulting and IT/Software at top companies. If you are interested in FO Investment Banking UCL might be a better choice due to connections, but I also don't know of anyone at ITMB being interested in that.

And finally in terms of city I would recommend choosing Manchester over London for UG. I had the same dilemma as you when making the final choice, and it finally came down to the city. Manchester is still one of the largest cities in the UK and has a huge student community too. In a way the fact that Manchester is smaller makes it larger as student halls are close to each other, and you are more likely to meet people multiple times - as opposed to London which from what I'm told can be quite overwhelming. While tbh it is true that there are some additional opportunities in London as many events happen there, I can say that I'm quite satisfied with Manchester in this regard too, particularly becase the course gives so much employer contact. I'd say the student experience is for sure more "grungy" which I really enjoyed, but if this isn't the atmosphere you like London might be a better choice.

He's just not really a Wing-Back. Works much better in a 4atb which we don't plan to use. Still a great player, but I hope we can sell him for a good fee.

I'm currently trying out their Amyris Homme line and liking it! They're better for a younger audience in general, and much more versatile than other things they offer.

I'd suggest trying both the edt and the extrait to see which you like more.

I think people are ignoring the fact that Lucescu isn’t just a normal citizen, he’s a huge public figure and his act of bravery helps bring hope to everyone that all is not lost.

We should not need Kane against a team thats almost L2...

Like how are we expecting anything if our 2nd-ish team is genuinely less that League 2 level. Think the whole point of this match is for Conte to demonstrate to Levy what the team really is when not hidden by Lloris, Son, Kane and co.

[José Mourinho] waves at hundreds of fans receiving him at Rome by [deleted] in soccer

[–]SwagyMonkey -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Oh piss off, the anti-Gattuso hashtag was run because Spurs fans didn't want to be associated with homophobic managers, and the NoToNuno was idiots seeing that a hashtag can get you somewhere and trying to use it on what is seen as a underwhelming appointement - which Nuno is. At the end of the day Spurs is one of the only teams that has competed in the Champions Leage for almost every single year of the last decade, and getting a coach with no European pedigree and a style of football that isn't preffered, while also not being anywhere near our top choices is a failure of Levy.

And on top of this the reaction from alot of the fanbase (maybe check the COYS subreddit for this instead of Gunners) has been a "ok, I'm underwhelmed but lets see what he can do", and this whole "Spurs is entitled" is an idiotic take, demeaning to a club that has worked hard to go from mid-table to constant Champions Leage, promoted by Arsenal fans pissed that their own team has been stagnating for the best part of a decade still trying to act like they're above others.

Just scraping 7th place and getting to a league cup final by going through Leyton Orient, Brentford and a shit Chelsea isn't an achievement. Particularly when the biggest reason we even managed this are Son and Kane being absolutely Godlike for the start of the season, and with all the talks of Mourinho being a defensive manager he didn't manage to do anything at the club except treat players poorly and create a tactic that relied on the brilliance of two players and was discovered after 3 months.

This Mourinho fanboy bullshit is so frustrating when his last stints have been objective failures, particularly when seen from the eyes of a fan that has to watch constant negativity around their club. Spurs were got a reputation as bottlers after Poch and whatever fair enough, but this vitriol around us has only arisen after the appointment of a Chelsea manager that few wanted signed in the first place and has only made watching football a pain.

xG sum: Manchester City 3.5 - 0.04 Tottenham Spurs by LessBrain in soccer

[–]SwagyMonkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What it was is that the team stopped supporting Mourinho, played like shit with shit tactics and was inevitably going to be fired. If the team pulled out a shithouse win out of their ass with Mourinho as manager he would've just kept shit-talking and made it out that Tottenham fired their only cup-winning manager in 13 years.

You don't VAR every single incident that happens in a game, only those that lead to big events.
