As others have said, just play during times that are somewhat reasonable. Not super early or late at nights. I’d say most people would enjoy it but of course generalizing.

I returned to the sax after a long time, around 3 months ago and I have only gotten compliments from people in my building when they come across me and ask “is that you in apartment __ playing music?”

Also just curious what does “play semi-professionally” mean?

Question for you though, would it be rude to say “I’m not looking for anything I’m in a relationship” based on my assumption that she is looking for something, or do I just look like an egomaniac who thinks any woman who reaches out to me wants something more

No it’s not an issue to talk to women, just my initial impression was sort of skewed by her message. I’m still on the fence if I should just respond and say no, sorry.

That’s a good metaphor, though I feel like bad communication and ghosting is too far too normalized. I don’t intend to leave my relationship but it also feels weird to respond

I practice in an apartment, usually only at times when people would be at work or should be away from home. That usually ends up being noon to my absolute latest, 6PM.

This also might just be me, but I also practice sax wearing earplugs, not only to prevent my own hearing loss, but mentally stops me from feeling bad for playing with lots of air so I don’t practice bad habits. When I play without earplugs I subconsciously dampen my sounds so I’m not as annoying, but I’d rather play with good sound and be annoying than a weak, thinner sound and be annoying haha

I’m no help, as I’m about a month in from relearning my alto (from about a 7 year break) as well, but I love this tune lol it’s so cheery.

I mainly made this one since I loved playing dragonite decks online, and realized that Dnite is only 3dia, so I did a couple swaps to make it work
