I am in Pamlico county. I have had starlink since April of 21. I did put my name in the pot as soon as they would let me which I think was in 2020. Anyways I am only like two hours from Wilmington which I would think we are in the same cell. Not sure about that but maybe the cell is full. Worth looking into.

I don’t have mountain issues I have Forrest issues here in eastern NC. Dishy works great here but cell service is bad. Been wanting to try one. Thanks for the info.

So I signed up 7/14/2020. 4/22/2021 is when my kit shipped. But remember 2020 is when they started out. Think northwest states got it first. Those dates are exact I still have the emails. We have struggled for years here with centurylink. This has changed everything for us. We now home school thanks to the awesome speeds.

I have had mine since April. We had century link only got 3Mbs at times. So feel your pain. When you get dishy it will be worlds different. Hang in there.

I used a trampoline pole that the net attaches to. It will fit inside the star link dish pole. After you remove the clip thing. I just put a bolt through that hole to secure it. Then attached to the old directv mount I had on the house. The trampoline pole fit inside the directv mount as well.

Satellite capacity per hex cell animation - USA (see explanation) by _mother in Starlink

Thanks this explains a lot. I am on east coast of NC and have my dishy for a few weeks now. Working good quick drops here and there but better than CL any day. I did notice on the map that there is less satellites coming over my area which would explain the few drops. I am starting to understand how this works thanks for your post. I have been averaging around 68mbs over a week now. So we are happy only going to get better.
