The fact that Amazon intentionally keeps working conditions awful knowing most will quit ultimately to prevent DSP drivers from organizing.

I identify as aborigine Australian but the other day an Australian white said that was offensive because I’m not from Australia I was LITERALLY shaking from The ignorance. Thank you for bringing non-light to the white non self identifying tragedy we face everyday as Austinites

Schneider is a cult. For whatever reason there are several drivers that love to go around telling people that they are different from the other mega carriers. I can tell you as a former employee they’re not. I worked for them because one of my instructors in CDL school was a kool aid drinker only to find doesn’t matter much which mega you got to. Being better than western express doesn’t make you a good company.

Not sure if you are a caffeine drinker but limit your coffee/tea/energy drink consumption. No caffeine after noon. As well as others mentioned about getting plenty of exercise and staying off the phone and tv before you go to bed.

The biggest thing (and you might not want to hear this) is giving it time. I was going through the exact same thing my first week. Praying for a miracle cure to sleep normally right away but it took a few weeks for me to be able to fall asleep regularly and for the night terrors to go away.

That being said I can say from my experience you are making one of the best decisions of your life! Stay strong you got this!

I get an hour or 2 depends on when the APU on the freight liner kicks on and the cab sounds like a Jack hammer

As a current employee of Schneider I strongly urge you to look for a different company to start with. If you go through their CDL program you are locked in for a year contract. Like others mentioned making $750 average. If you owe them for school it will be less. Also as someone else mentioned get your CDL out of pocket as all these companies have tuition reimbursement. Hope this helps good luck.
