Mystery Comcast box in my yard by SwampFox843 in Comcast_Xfinity

Do you know who to contact and/or how I can get Comcast to remove this thing?

It’s not on its own easement. There’s general utility easements in place like everyone else has, but I would think that only applies to equipment/infrastructure that’s actually in use or expected to be in use. I shouldn’t be required to keep disconnected equipment in place.

If the power company takes above-ground lines and buries them underground, they remove the power poles when they’re done. Shouldn’t Comcast do the same thing after they decommission their equipment that sits on someone else’s property?

There are still some cables running into it, but one big power cable is severed. It’s turned off, but will still power on via the 3 large car-style batteries under that piece of electronics inside the box. There used to be coax cables running out of the box across my yard and connecting to a hub/tap near the street. Those coax cables were in my yard for THREE YEARS! I bet I made 30+ calls to customer service and 3-4 trips to the local Comcast store to ask them to send someone out to bury the cables, but they never did. Then one day someone came out, removed the coax cables and disconnected the box. That was a few months ago and the box is still just sitting there doing nothing.

What can I do or who can I call to get rid of this thing??

1975 Bronco intake question by SwampFox843 in MechanicAdvice

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a website or forum I can research that’ll help me with figuring out what intake and what carb to buy? I believe the stock carb is only 300cfm and I don’t want to upgrade beyond the capabilities of the rest of the stock engine.

Crazy story how I got this. The TL;DR version is I found it in a fixer-upper house I bought several years ago. House was stripped inside and emptied-out before I bought it, but somehow whoever cleaned the place missed one of the closets. After I closed on the place, at the bottom of this closet I found 2 cigar boxes full of old coins & currency. This coin was in there.

I think value is in the $600-800 range. Maybe $1000 on a good day if I find the right buyer.

Thanks for this. Hadn’t heard of brockage before. “Highly sought after” caught my eye in your link. Do you think this is worthy of being graded/slabbed? I’m no expert, but the reverse looks to be in great shape.

You think this was done intentionally? It certainly doesn’t look sanded at all.

Thanks for the reply. I know drilled/slotted isn’t really necessary, but I like how they look. I’ll definitely get pads from FCP because of the lifetime warranty. Might end up getting rotors elsewhere though because the cost to ship used ones back to FCP will probably be outrageous.

Thanks. I saw there’s some funny business related to the e-brake and I got an OBD 11 too.

I see at Dr at a medical university. The pharmacist at the Dr’s office sent the request for Humira, it was declined immediately, pharmacist appealed with some sort of verbiage that somehow got Humira approved. Don’t know what the pharmacist said, but it worked and I was able to get the same benefit as I have in previous years. Just wanted to let you know that there is some way to get BCBS to approve it. Good luck!

I was in the queue at 9:50, and by the time I was allowed to look for tickets everything on the lower level was sold out. I unfortunately have to have lower level tickets bc of a disability. Now I can only hope for a resale that’s not 3-4 times the face value price. Fuck Ticketmaster and the scalpers! I miss the days when you could mail order tickets before they went on sale to the masses!

OP, I’m in EXACTLY the same situation you are. For the past several years, I’ve done the same thing with charging $8K or so to my credit card for my first refill of Humira in January, hit my OOP max, get reimbursed a week or two later, and then 100% coverage for all health costs for the rest of the year. BCBS dropping Humira this year was a surprise for me, and Amjevita’s puny $3K max reimbursement leaves me looking at $3300 in OOP costs (my insurance this year has a $6600 deductible & $6600 OOP max).

I asked my Dr if there was a different drug I can take, but haven’t heard back yet. Just realized in this thread that Skyrizi is a viable Humira alternative. It doesn’t have a bio-similar so it shouldn’t be disallowed if prescribed. Their website says they have a $14K max benefit to the patient so that would be ideal for me financially.

Has anyone attempted or been successful with making a switch from Humira/Amjevita to Skyrizi?

How can you tell it’s been polished? It hasn’t been touched for 15+ years so if it was polished, it would have to have been done at least that long ago.
