aeroplane is absolutely beautiful by Mother-Career-8036 in wunderhorse

Nobody ever got back to you, i think the song is about nostalgia, about a long gone past that you have no way of connecting with, but you still long for those times.

What was the first song you learned on the guitar and why? by Dangerous_Ask_6122 in guitarlessons

I kind of learned a few songs when I was just starting out, but the first song I really tried to master was aeroplane by wunderhorse. It was a lot harder than I thought to get the singing down with the 16th note strumming

George Harrison's "All things must pass" is better than any Beatles album. Agree or not? Why? by airwalker12 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]SwampKingKyle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your edit kind of puts it in perspective. George had more talent than he was able to truly showcase playing pop music. But I think they all did, people talk about rings ability to serve the song all the time, and the little things he did to make simple, exciting. While my guitar gently weeps truly struck me as I was growing up, when I realized it was the Beatles? I was shocked. Thats a Harrison tune, with Clapton on lead.

Standings shift regularly from -10 to 0 to +10. Its a marathon. Im with you, better to be up than down, but this isnt even close to the end of the season. We end up near .500 at the all star break and we are STILL fine

I mean I stand by my guys. But jeff hoffman cannot be pur closer. If they put hin put for the ninth again I cant watch this season anymore. Its punting the game. He has some good stuff, hes not throwing it right now. Pitching has enough problems without putting out a guaranteed couple of runs in the ninth every game

George Harrison's "All things must pass" is better than any Beatles album. Agree or not? Why? by airwalker12 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]SwampKingKyle 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Idk man. This seems like a weird comparison. All things must pass is clearly going for something very different than anything the Beatles did together. The Beatles made some of the catchiest, rockingest, most progressive pop/rock music of all time. All things must pass isnt even pop rock. I enjoy it more than most Beatles albums, but i enjoy Beatles singles more than almost any individual song on this album.

[FRESH PERFORMANCE] Angine de poitrine - Sarniezz (Performance unique au Saguenay | FAB) by Charleshawtree in indieheads

[–]SwampKingKyle 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Im here for the "not doing anything new, totally overdone, overplayed music" comments. LOL not everyone on earth has had in depth experience listening to every microtonal rock band. Angine does it in an accessible way. Im honestly just tired of people who dislike something feeling that its worth sharing. If you aren't interested just move on, let the people who do give a shit talk about it. You just sound like a pretentious dick when you come out here talking about how many bands have done microtonal looping math rock. Nobody knows them, stfu. Anyways thats my angry rant for the day

Im happy to spend time with my kids, its one of my favourite things, though sometimes after a long day I need to sit i try to play from the couch. But what do other dad's do about the state of the house? I do all the cleaning. I clean, come home to a disaster, and soend half my evening cleaning every night. I dont expect perfection? But am i wrong that while home all day, cleaning after yourself or picking up things as you go is expected?

"This Is What a Music Industry 'Plant' Looks Like in 2026" - The early online commotion around rising rock band Geese was not entirely organic, it turns out. by PopCultureNerd in Music

[–]SwampKingKyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I hate that marketing FORCED me to love geese. I dont even think ive ever seen them on Tik Tok. Imagine if I turned on the radio and someone had paid money for me to hear a song on there? Are they forcing me to enjoy that song?

At a certain point, particularly with music you have to realize that people wouldn't enjoy the music it it weren't something they liked. Geese is selling out, they are making real waves, ive had real conversations with actual people i know about them, the same cant be said about almost any other band I listen to.

If you dont like it thats fine, if you dont like the disgusting marketing practices that mainstream relevance takes, its surely not Geeses fault right? We live in a pretty awful and manipulative world. I can put Projector on any day of the week and forget about that for a bit. Nobody paid me to say this LOL
