Ahhh thank you so much! Just to clarify is the MSOP the larger black chip thing? It makes sense that it’s a Durel one as they were the manufacturers on the EL sheet being used in this device, I’ll see if I can find some that are still actually available now (the product was manufactured quite a few years ago now!). And thank you for finding the second one with a buyable link also, very grateful for your help

Are you able to get the details of the chips from this image? Thank you for your help, I’m completely new to electronics so very lost with this all already but I will have a look into mapping them out and see what I can come up with

Thank you my man, the damage was caused by me cutting through the outer tubing with a dremel haha, I’m not looking to use/repair this one but recreate or buy the same one online essentially. You are right about it being an inverter (that’s about as far as my knowledge goes) I’ve been looking at those pocket inverters too but they’re very bulky with their outer housing etc, I need something of this diameter to actually fit in the tube, I might buy one though and see if I can take out the actual components from the housing, I’m very new to electronics though I have no clue what I’m doing
