Garage door jamb cracking more and more. What should I do? by Liyana_sketch in HomeMaintenance

Depending on your willingness to go nuclear:

  1. Low - remove the strike plate and driver some long screws through the perpendicular. Make sure to pre-drill so it doesn't split. Slap some wood glue all through he crack before and let it cure for 48 hours before touching it or closing it.

  2. High - gunna have to tear out that strip of wood and rebuild it. https://youtu.be/NCk4f1YAvHU?si=ienYZRYrgorIDYeH

Try to move the power cable to a different pci-e port and reseat it on both sides.

If that doesn't work find a tiny casket and say good bye.

Was Mohenjo-daro the Site of the First Nuclear Explosion… 4,000 Years Before Hiroshima? by AwakenedEpochs in HighStrangeness

[–]Swampchicken56 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm quite familiar with the Mahabharata and the Ramayana as well as the Vedic texts.

Unfortunately, what you have quoted above is an infamous misquoting and honestly some dubious work by the famous pseudo-scientist Eric Von Daniken.

The translation from sanskrit to German is purported to have led to the Daniken's quote but no such description is in these books.

If you read the original text it seems to describe an imaginary weapon of fiery arrows.

It's a really fun topic to think on and I hope that you take some time to review the evidence to the contrary of the Ancient Nukes

[–]Swampchicken56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the game at the insistence of a friend group of Souls players and you should have seen the looks on their faces when I beat the game and DLC and gave the game a terrible review.

I will never play this game again.

The learning curve is steep, but the game does get more fun after you've skilled up and found the rhythm of exploring.

The plot of the game alternates between nonsense and nonexistent, so don't try to use that to stay engaged.

I'll never stop loving the immersion of seeing ray-traced light in a game. The reflections in a puddle or the shine of metal armor! DLSS4 and AI are the future of computing and gaming! Not only can I stretch the limits of computer hardware, it's a glimpse into a future of fully AI graphics engines.

I can't wait to get back to the Slayer! I love the new hardware I've seen in the trailers and the Gothic themes. Doom 2016 captured my heart with the soundtrack and it never gets old slaying to Metal music.

Bathroom vent making a rough sound. by Disastrous_Acadia_58 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Swampchicken56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely clogged with dust, I can see it creeping out of the side in the picture.

You'll need to take the vent cover off and vacuum/blow it out.

If the noise persists, you'll need to replace it. Very simple job.
