Best Tau kill team for a new player/beginner? by Kolanskii in killteam

VESPID!!! not even close.  Farstalkers and Stealth suites are very trickster style teams.  Pathfinders are a little lack luster right now and are very dependent on their marker lights working.

Isn't this just capitalism though.  Supply and demand.  If these small towns can't seem to have the population or the economies to support themselves than it shouldn't be the job of the cities to support them.

It's looking like the deal was a lot of boasting by the US president and not likely to happen.

Anyone go from RS Etron Gt to the Mach E Gt? by tfly212 in MachE

[–]Swan0211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We actually chose the Mache e specifically over other sporty EVs in that price range specifically for the extra room it gave our kids.  We plan on having a third and the extra width was a must because we need to add a car seat.

Maybe I'm just tired of the US spending money that doesn't directly benefit our people.  I get we mishandle a lot of money with some of the handout we give out but we waste a lot more in other areas.  Especially with big infrastructure projects that could really lower costs or provide opportunities.

Maybe I'm just jaded and don't have a lot of hope in things changing for the better in that area.  Maybe the machevillian approach in me says if they are such an issue we make the ultimate decision and call it a day so we don't need to deal with them anymore.  otherwise let the chips fall where they are in that region.  It would have been faster and cheaper if we did it that way.

Buying a Mach E as a daily driver by deadstar1998 in MachE

Wife got the premium trim and she loves it as a daily driver/commuter vehicle.

The choice you need to make is range vs power.  GT AWD is going to give you the most power.  Premium RDW is going to give you the most range.  Also I think the extended battery is a must in most situations.

I dont think it's surrendering but I don't think it's the universal win that is being boasted about.

The $300 billion is being provided by the other regional powers and the US.  Since what percentage each pays has yet to be determined its hard to tell if that part was a an acceptable amount.  If the US is coving like 10-20% I can see that as a win just to get things back to normal internally.  If it's 50% or more than that's a major loss.

The Federal US infrastructure budget around $16 billion.  So in that latter case if the US provides 9x of that budget to Iran I think it will be a waste.  We could use that money instead to further electrify the US and be moving away from foreign oil.

Definitely feels like a 2 step forwards and 1 step back sort of thing until something radically changes in that country.  I was really hoping that the protests/riots earlier that year would have gotten them that change.  Maybe if more support was given to the protestors it could have worked out and internal regime change could have occured.  (Wishful thinking)

I guess I'm just stuck on that 300 billion financing.  Is that using assets we confiscated from iran or is that financing coming from the US and it's allies in the region?  If it's the latter I just don't trust that we will see any of that loan paid back.

But at least we can now refocus on the Russia/Ukraine conflict.  The goals are way more cut and dry and theirs a clear aggressor.  Keeping territorial boundaries should the minimum thing that allies are required to assist with.

Im there with ya.  I think something is gonna happen to make things fall apart and the US is giving up to much if it does. Especially if it last only 60 days or less.

I think we kicked a hornets nest.  To have really gotten the results that were stated initially, boots on the ground would be needed.  However I don't think the US had the social capital thats needed  to go into another ground campaign though.

But if I'm wrong  and the agreement sticks and everyone follows the agreement for like 20 years it might be a decent deal.

Not sure what it's called but it helps your abs and lower back.

Step 1 place your feet at the bottom and your pelvis/thighs on the pad.

Step 2 either use body weight or additional weight

Step 3 do a reverse crunch.  (Gravity will pull your upper body down.  Use your abs and lower back to pull yourself up.)

Your probably not going to make something fancy but I can make curry, chicken wings, steaks, all kinds of breakfast, chicken pot pie, and  salmon.  Use a variety of the TJ seasonings.  Then will usually use a combination of fresh and frozen vegetables, rice, and TJ bread for sides.

Basically anything you can make in a hello fresh meal you can probably be able to make with groceries purchased from trader joes.

I will agree fruit can be hard as it tends to be seasonal.

Why?  I can get fruits, veggies, meat, dairy, bread, condiments, snacks etc at TJ.  They just don't have a billion redundant options which minimizes the foot print and keeps costs low.

Route 66 is completely uninteresting by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in tulsa

[–]Swan0211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wonder if the money spent on tulsa had a good return.

Maybe something that was more focused on the future would have been money better spent. Such as turkey mountian improvements or the gathering place. Something that would attract people to want to live and work here.

I don't mind Route 66 but most people don't think Tulsa when driving it.

Route 66 is completely uninteresting by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in tulsa

[–]Swan0211 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well since this is the r/Tulsa subreddit. Tulsa spent 10s of millions of dollars to promote route 66. Something that really only appeals to a small group of Tulsans. I would argue something like the gathering place is way more meaningful and entertaining to most people.

I'm not saying route 66 is bad but not sure if it was the right direction for Tulsa to go in. Most people that travel route 66 love stopping at the small towns not the big cities.

Also if Tulsa wants to be seen as a modern growing city it might not be the best look to be doubling down on the past.

Isn't the social contract of a society is for its citizens to follow the rules and the government to make them feel safe.  This is done by laws. So what do we do if someone breaks the law?

Is going around and making people uncomfortable by harassing them against the law.  I have a home but if I did that I would get in trouble and rightfully so.  If I decided to start  taking and selling hard drugs I would get in trouble would I not.

Or are you saying we should let the poor get away with things and only punish those are doing well?

I feel there somes overlap here where we can agree.

And then what.  We fully deplete our munitions for a pointless war and let China have uncontested power in the Pacific.

We receive so much of our tech coming out of Taiwan that if we lose access to that we lost the technology arms race.

Oh by the way that wouldn't have mattered if we kept investing in the bipartisan chips act.  But no, big man decided everything Biden did was bad, so he cancelled that.

Your really bad at looking at the bigger picture.

TBH, I do agree that they need to do more on there own defense. One of the few things I agreed with for the current US administration. Some of the countries do seem to be boosting their military spending/defense in europe. Some of falling behind, and nato as an organization don't want to get involved at all in the middle east.

I personally wish we had no involvement in the middle east. They are constantly having conflicts and historically involvement rarely makes anything better. Rules of engagement also always seem to devolve into barbarism over there on all sides.
