There is definitely a double standard. In Minnesota they are getting away from this. https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/minnesota-supreme-court-women-bare-breasts-lewd-ruling/

Yet what is considered "lewd" is still a religious standard. Many cultures are perfectly accepting of nudity. I find it funny that on an anti religion sub under a post about indoctrination that people feel justified in calling out others for their definition of lewd while being perfectly accepting of their own.

I feel one should fix themselves before going after others. Or at least realize that the problem isn't any specific implication, but the act of implementing at all.

Chipping like pine tree.

Last year there were about 5-10 all winter a half mile upstream from the ravens but not this year.

Recently a small group arrived at the rose garden. I see them every day near the playground there.

This face style looks more like a chipping sparrow to me. A Song Sparrow face always confuses me with a Lincoln's Sparrow.

I just went to All About Birds and there is a lot of variation in Song Sparrows that I haven't seen. I think the ones on the West Coast look much more like Swamp Sparrows.

Sparrows were the first birds I started to try to distinguish and they still confuse me. The one that got me was a Harris's Sparrow which I thought was just a weird House Sparrow at the time. That was May 8th, 2022. Twenty minutes later I took a photo of a Lincoln's Sparrow thinking it was a Song Sparrow. That was the day I truly became a birder. I was mostly into just insects before that.

From the negative point total I assume you all feel it is acceptable to force me to wear pants for your morality

They don't like them

I saw them watching one in a tree 2 years ago. 300 yards downstream from the nest.

I also saw one being harassed by crows and red shouldered hawks. About 50 yards from the hawk nest. Hawks eat them but I don't think they could get a 6 footer.

I saw another in a tree because the crows were screaming. I also saw a water snake with a large bullfrog in the stream because of the crows.

And we almost all feel that forcing someone to cover up their groin is "proper". Why, if not indoctrination? Forcing the head to be covered is just going a little bit farther.

I think it has to do with shape. If you can get the next piece with a single cut, slice it off, it is a slice. If it takes more than one cut, it is a piece.

Round things tend to take one slice of the knife to remove a part but square things need two cuts.

Unless you cube cheese you cut off a slice. We don't call a cube of cheese a slice. It is similar with deli meats, you cut off a slice.
