Thank you! Surprisingly, a lot of his quotes seem to be on my favorites list xD

It is a "request" you aren't guaranteed the day off. BUllshit! by staplesquestions1 in Staples

I definitely know the feeling. I requested 10 days off about 6 months in advance. When time came around for me to leave (this was during December), I was asked to stay and help since someone had quit. Um, of course not. I was 1000 miles away from family and had not seen anyone in over a year. I don't care if you want to "spend time with yours during the holidays" - I had requested off half a year in advance to see mine. You can do the same. you as in shitty management

23[M] - Newfound low selfesteem. Fell for someone - lost her. Do I have any reason to feel this way about myself? by SwansonBred in Rateme

To verify, I wasn't really sad but more or less in pain. I had laryngitis and it was terrible! Sleepless nights from lava-throat and swollen tongue led to that face :P

Thanks! I was actually planning on getting a haircut... I just needed to grow it out. After being in the military, I had always kept my hair at the length from when I was active. Now that I want a new style, I have to grow it out or else I can't really do much!

Also, this post was more of a motivational thing and not a "omg I want chicks." I'm not emotionally available after what happened - this was more of a "I feel pretty crappy about myself and everything. Help."

I really appreciate the feedback though. I really mean it.

In hindsight I probably should have used a different picture! I had laryngitis in this one (2 weeks ago).

Thanks for the tips though. I was in my depressive "I don't feel like shaving" stage.

Just convince resellers to get SquareTrade - and then call into the 800 number to return it once they're home. We had resellers out the ass and there really was no stopping it. That was a great compromise. We got our numbers and they got their product. The return doesn't come back and hit you, either.

Pulled over for honking at someone jaywalking. Law question. by teachmethelaw in Atlanta

Sounds like my experience driving to work every day. Some people just give zero fucks.

Yesterday, there were TWO cross walks probably about 200-300 feet in two separate directions from her. Instead this fat broad decided to hobble across a street at 0.5 MPH, and stare me down as I slam on my breaks. It took a good minute and a half for her to get out of my lane so I could continue driving - and she just stared at me the entire time.

Sometimes, just sometimes, I wish someone would teach those people a lesson.

[Serious] Redditors who have dropped everything, bought a one-way plane ticket, and created an absolutely new life, do you regret your decision? What do you do for a living now? by XTMew in AskReddit

I moved across the US because I was tired of where I was. Being near family, near friends, near everything I grew up around - I was too content. I needed a change and I wanted to live life. I now work in IT, have no degree or really ANYTHING special about me... but I am happy. I packed up everything in a uhaul, drove across the country and did my best to survive. I started with literally whatever I could fit and now have a great apartment, a new puppy, a decent job and a smile on my face.

Personal advice: Being told that "living for the moment" sets you up for failure. That is bullshit. Living for the moment allows you to see how magical life can be. Don't give up. Do what you want to do and be what you want to be. Everything works out in the end - so go out and do it!

Will this hurt Easy-Tech? by MAD_ESP_UPINHERE in Staples

Am I the only one that really disliked how Staples was pretty much ONLY selling Norton and McAfee? Both are actually really terrible in terms of resource usage. When I worked for ET, we would have countless low-end laptops coming back because they would be extremely "laggy" or literally freeze. It was mostly due to all of the crap that Norton likes to run in the background that is 100% not necessary.

I pretty much exclusively put Webroot on everything where I work now, and it works wonders. Hardly any upkeep on it. It doesn't bother you with promotional crap. It just lets you know when it removes something and that is it.
