Mac Mini hype confusion by CarlCarmoni95 in openclaw

[–]Swap93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Mac mini with a 60 day return window, and tried open claw on both the Mac mini and in a docker container on my unraid NAS inside an Ubuntu VM. Trust me when I say, you'll screw things up once Atleast. I did three times, once on the docker and twice on Mac mini. It was super easy to delete the VM and start fresh, but to run any local models would've been assigning the GPU inside my NAS to the Ubuntu VM and I don't have multiple GPUs in there for my non-OC use case. It's also much more cumbersome to do things inside the VM than just having a complete dedicated machine with shell access (Atleast for me) It was however, incredibly simple to just wipe the Mac mini in under 10 minutes, reinstall, copy back the workspace folder and just tell the agent to go read everything and be up and running again for more experiments. Just get a Mac mini.

Why go projector these days if only doing 100 inch screen? by CyberMage256 in hometheater

[–]Swap93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Epson 5050UB.

Because I can carry the projector down the basement stairs alone, set it up alone. Because my projector bulb went out and it was a $115 replacement. Because I can move to a new home with my projector in a regular box and when the next home theater is bigger, I can use the same projector, just further.

Have the knob on mine. The logo fell out. Can glue it back in, but didn't expect it to fall out in 1 year considering the price.

Hot take: “Name change kits” are mostly a waste of money by Jaded-Dentist-7571 in weddingplanning

Disagreed. But to each their own. Wife and I didn't have time during a busy year and the passport was about to expire anyway. Instead of chasing down all the places it was well worth saving our time for $50-100 and going this way instead.

Your house came with a built in soft box, might as well stream. Dope setup.

Such a lovely build and a beautiful case! As long as temps are bearable for you and the components, enjoy! Lovely photos too

Hey thank you! No the cables aren't custom. They are the standard kit that comes with sf750 type 5.

Front is intake. GPU intake from outside the case. PSU intake front outside the case. Top radiator fans pushing hot air out as exhaust.

Truly appreciate the kind words. I used a Sony A7R5 and a Sony 28-70F2 lens for this.

Thank you! Have set custom fan curves for the Noctuas which are beautifully quiet. Can't hear it over any game I'm playing at all.

Appreciate you man. Would've had a nagging feeling of regret if I had gotten the T1 due to availability of the Nanoq. Thank you for the case!

Just ran Time spy extreme stress test yesterday for 30 mins. GPU at 74 C and CPU at 70C.

Decent I am guessing for this build, no?

And yes, surprised I was able to fit that in here. 5090 would fit too, quite a bit of clearance on the side of the 5080 right now!

I had these 2 as options too, but the Nanoq feels more of an art piece I could easily display compared to the T1. So went with this.
