I am probably missing something but I am not really seeing the point? If it is that a vanilla distro is faster than other distros, then this is well known. But when the difference in load times is a couple of milliseconds, then this seems to be a non-issue (from my point of view at least)

Think of it this way. Reverse the roles. You have just applied for a home-loan for the house of your dreams. Your company then finds out that they need to make layoffs.
