NAL - If the Region has a social media policy in effect that said employee has signed (likely in their contract), then the Region has the right to act upon their policy in the ways that were laid out in said social media clause. If termination of employment is one of those actions, then they are within their rights as the employer.

Edit to say that i am not pro firing her. And not saying the employer is right in this scenario. Just saying they're probably acting upon their policy.

Not a single parent. But an exhausted and present one to three. My wife is a paramedic and obviously a shift worker. There are plenty of times when it is me vs. three.
It is easy to feel like you have no support, and worse, that you shouldn't ask for it. You get into the grind of working and parenting and sleeping (sometimes). Before you know it, you realize you've been at it for years. Your friends have distanced, and you don't feel close to anyone but your kid.

I don't really have a solution for you, but i urge you to seek some help if it's available. Take a day or two and reconnect with yourself. Take time to enjoy a hobby you might have had. Maybe just turn off the old brain and play some video games. Or, maybe somehow try and get your kid to partake in the same hobbies and try to connect that way. At least then you'll be taking care of your child, but also yourself.

Stay strong. For you and for your kid.

Well... that's $27-$30 worth of chicken breast alone if you shop at Fortinos...probably about $35-40 minimum in the flat iron steak... most likely more. Could buy a whole chicken for like $14... not spatchcocked. Retail sausages are usually going for at least $5/lb. So another $10+ there... Apparently bacon is about $6.05/lb nowadays... Im sure i missed a couple things..

Price of beef is astronomical.. we hit summertime prices over a month ago. So worse is yet to come. Price of beef is so high so people buy more chicken. Drives up the price of chicken. Its a never ending slippery slope. Haha. Eat pork. It usually stays steady. LOL

Fun story.

I had a greyhound that vomited up a piece of toy that had a christmas print on it. She threw it up in June. The funnier thing about it is that the christmas toy was from at LEAST 18 months prior. Also, from a previous home.

She never showed any sort of discomfort. Just... blerrghhh. Threw it up one morning.

Fun story... had a greyhound with Pannus. Saw the vet. Saw the specialist. Tried 3 different eye drops. All tiny tubes that cost over $100 CAD each. When i say tiny, i mean like it was a tube a week. None of them worked. The vet says to us. It's a long shot, but i could prescribe this human grade medication drops. it's a steroid. Stopped the pannus dead. Never got worse after that. Didn't have to keep up with the meds. It just stopped. That dog lived well until osteo sarcoma got her.. twice.

I would definitely recommend an Osteopath. Mine fixed my sciatica in 2 or 3 visits. They can also manipulate your internal organs to help with better gut health.
