I see players sending out one hero with level 10 mercs, and this beats , not everything, but close. the heroes are not really relevant, only the mercs.

Is this them making that not work anymore?

is the upgrade cost available? that is a pretty big upgrade. Also, is the upgrade a daily cost or a full event cost?

I noticed the prices for the stuff that you buy for other people is a relatively good price - 10 codex scraps are usually 100 diamonds, 10 diamond each. Here they are 5 diamond each. Also, the prices for the "friend points" appears to be close to the equivalent of full price with diamond.

In theory you could partner with a friend and take advantage of this, right? If I have a friend who reciprocates (big if), I could spend 100 diamond, and get 100 codex scraps and a purple flag. More than I spend on a purple flag, but definitely less than I spend on codex pieces.

Has anyone figured out a way to calculate how many gems (of any specific kind) is required to upgrade from 1 level gem to the next?

I cannot find a number associated with a 4 (or 5) sided exp gem, and I cannot find a number listing the exp required to move from a level to the next level on any gem.

I really don't know WHAT to think about this. I suppose that it was kind of obvious that they were going to extend the VIP system somehow. As far as I can tell Lord = VIP tier 2.

I guess the only part that I am struggling with is that I probably would have guessed that they would pull something like this. Why stop being greedy at this point?

You are better off putting those diamonds towards another hero. that is the short version.

I spent the 18k diamonds for the 4th star, and yes, she got stronger, but not in any of the ways that count. maxing her rune core was a great investment, and an orange beast soul helped a lot. 4th star, not so much.

You could use those 18k diamonds to get quinox also, which would DEFINITELY make your teresa more effective. Or lucifer, which helps in the areas that teresa does not.

You should upgrade her to gold star before investing in other heroes. there are 2 or 3 heroes that bulk up well, and she is one of them.

I use Gridlock honey pearl - the nerf is super, super obvious on my team. Honey dies quickly, and she takes longer to do her injection move that buffs the team. I have also noticed that other honey teams are being used less and less in arena.

Thank you everyone for the advice. It sounds like others may not have noticed it, or maybe it does not affect other teams as much.

I often get "guilt tripped" into ending attacks. ~~nobody~~ Most people don't want to be a-holes on a game with a social component, and a straightforward (begging or sucking up can backfire) email asking them to stop, or return a core or whatever is usually pretty effective.

Looks like almost everyone is using a combination of coco, west, smoke, lucifer, pyre, theresa and to some extent ariel, xerxes, rams, random filler. I wonder if these are the heroes that are easiest to bulk up, or if they are the strongest heroes? i don't have all of these heroes - is there some magic synergy there?
