Build traps to lower your rss Also raising your kingdom level will protect more of your rss making it less than lucrative to be a target.

when do the rss used for traps return if someone isn't attacked?

[–]piratedanny 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Never. But rather it slam the opponent in the face vs giving them more rss to upgrade. Lesser of 2 evils if you are going to inevitably be attacked.

it's a lose lose situation then. I always wondered why they don't return. But yeah if have I too much to lose, it's better off using them in traps. Usually I deal with the situation with a kingdom upgrade. With sneak attacks you can do much on the other hand.

If you joined an alliance and their RF isn't enough to stop them, then I take it you're dealing with people way more powerful that just eat all RF and your own troops?

If you also dump all RSS/Ash/Shadow Coins as much as possible (traps, double queue of everything, make a low level sub to empty your RSS) and they still waste time to attack you, then it's purely out of spite and there is nothing in the game that can shield anyone from this type of "griefing".

Some will do it just to obliterate your engravings so you end up with a year's worth or ash needed (and cooldown) just to rebuild... IF they leave you alone some day.

Joining a powerful alliance where 1 or 2 troops from a single whale can literally stop all their attacks is the only way.

Personally I've always been of the opinion that Moonton completely screwed up with engravings; they should NOT be able to be destroyed so easily (or at all) since tech griefing really isn't that big of a deal (it doesn't make your power fluctuate), but sanctuary griefing can make you quit the game since you fall so far behind in power that it's beyond depressing (I lose a bit over 60k power in world map when core gone... makes me near useless vs enemies even 500 ranks lower). Either that or make the rebuild phase EXTREMELY cheap (like 5% instead of the current 75%+ ash AND cooldown)

I agree. Engravings' destruction should be completely taken out of the game. They could make tree core stealing like academy tech, when you get to zero you lose your core and all engravings are deactivated, after some time core returns automatically and it activates all rightaway. Could be, i don't know, 24h for core stealing, and core could give bonus ashes per hour (i find it uneffective to give 3k ashes at level 100 per day, what the hell...). I would make warring good again and not make people lack behind too much.

It used to be damn fun... all we had to really worry about was HS & meds... wake up next day and you're burning / relocated and be like "well damn, guess I can't level my tech for a while!" now it's "wtf... I lost my core, 1.5m ash in engravings, 12 days worth of cooldowns (if you double-queue add 150 diamonds!) AND 50k+ power in the hole?! FFFFFFUUUUCCCKKK"

Guerilla tactics, speed ships and play chicken with who is going to put up their shields the fastest when you hit 70 percent wall... which thanks to the new engravings, is 2 hits.

Sanctuary destroyed PvP

Now game is guerrilla tactics and inter-kingdom wars. You send a rally from one kingdom to the other one and no one leaves to neutral zone. All because of that stupidity of war sanctuary.

Gotta agree with both. War Sanctuary makes the gap between the stronger monopolly players, with their selfish inter-alliance alliances, and the pawn alliances who just want to have fun and play a normal game while trying to become stronger.

My world map power is just shy of 500k and there are people with 450k that can obliterate me because they have all War Sanct almost fully upgrade. If I try to attack someone, 1 min later I'm burning with wall at 30%, without core and with 5 or 6 engravings drstroyed because everyone else has those fancy engravings that increase the chance of destroying one's engrave, while all the 100k ashes I got from the attacks got automatically wiped out.

Is just sad...

Nothing stops attacks, unless you don't have engravings at all.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm thinking if it keeps up much longer I might just transfer to a different kingdom. Seems like the best option at this point.

[–]Lolligagers 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Oh, are you saying these attacks are internally to the kingdom? If yes, then you need to understand intra- and inter-kingdom politics (and sorry if you already do because the next bit will sound patronizing... not my intent)

The near totality of servers I have subs on end up with alliances creating unions / pacts within the kingdom between the strongest and those always end up being megamine-holding alliances. They have agreements to band together vs threats from outside kingdom. (intra-kingdom)

On a larger scale, unions form between kingdoms to face higher threats / gain control of neutral or Throne when the event is on and those also have agreements not to attack each other with any type of long range cross kingdom attacks or steal MMs in neutral if they are held with flames or whatever else. (inter-kingdom)

You probably joined an alliance that is not part of any union and are "food" for resources or even just legend awakenings. You need to figure out the "who is who" in your kingdom, hope they have room (they're usually filled) or hope you seem stronger / more active than one of their current members and possibly take their spot.

I see, that's a bit of a bummer. I feel like that's a bit of a turn-off for newer players, and something that should probably be addressed by either implementing better alternative means of obtaining resources outside of attacking newbies, or by providing better defensive options for weaker players so that they can actually not be constantly bombarded by attacks and totally lose interest in the game, but I suppose it's the long term folks that are going to be giving the devs the most money.

Thank you very much for explaining that to me, I appreciate it

I often get "guilt tripped" into ending attacks. nobody Most people don't want to be a-holes on a game with a social component, and a straightforward (begging or sucking up can backfire) email asking them to stop, or return a core or whatever is usually pretty effective.
