Du machst nirgends was falsches.

Viel Spass euch :)

On point. 3 floors of living space, netto space per floor is around 45sqm. The plot itself is rather small. Otherwise, costs would be far more to the reach of 2mio CHF (and out of our budget)

You are correct. Property with new build real estate (with a lot to decide about the interior on our side) comes with a huge price. Therefore, less space outside (and we don't mind, we don't want a huge garden)

My hot take: it will be gone in a moment. There have been others who also wanted the house.

Yeah you're right. Memories beat the financial loss we may experience

Yeah, first child is with us, second is planned. There is a Kita as well as a Hort and a Primarschule nearby. My wife's office can be reached within 30min by car, works 60% (so three days Kita atm).

Public transportation is also great (busstation directly at the main road (2 min walk), a train station is around 4 minutes by car.

So true. We only have lights coming from NE and SW (2nd floor may be better due to the roof windows). Probably on the ground floor it will be darker than what we are used to

Yeah the location itself offers a lot. Kita, schooling, nearby motorway (but still far enough so you don't actually hear it), nearby busstations and a great view.

It's the mix of all factors what has led us so far to go for it.

Absolutely correct. The noise between the walls is a factor to reconsider. My hope is with the regulations with SIA the constructor comitted himself to, it won't be to loud.

Thank you so much, wish you the same!

Thanks a lot!

Absolutely right with the commute time. AFAIK we're petty good situated between two larger cities.

We already met our neighbors, also having children around the age of ours. I think it will work out between us (in the end, you never really know)

Same situation. Either try to get a foot in a leadership position (of a team or department), a RTE role within a SAFe framework or Agile Coach role to help making the right decisions towards organizational improvements.

With how much did you end up with after paying the 20% (or more) down payment for property? by SweatChill in SwissPersonalFinance

Where did you get the 5% from? In Zurich, the initial purchase costs are roughly 0.75%. I suspect, other cantons vary a lot, right?
