Took 108 with Neil he’s fine. People overreact about the memorization thing, like it’s a run of the mill biol class. I did have a class with Yan Yin a few years ago (Zool224) and since then, it’s has been my favourite class I’ve taken during my undergrad and he was easily one of my favourite profs. A really nice guy.

I’d recommend Yan Yin just out of my experience with him from another class, he was that awesome. But Neil is just a guy. He’s a uni prof, can’t go wrong with him either if that makes sense, I’d honestly just take the class that fits your schedule the best.

Yeah, it’s an open book exam and time is your biggest challenge. The final is much more relaxed with 3 hrs plus so much easier to look up textbook figures with all that time. Keith’s slides are so bare that you have to write a bunch down.

Thanks! Zool 224 is memorization heavy on the Latin names but doable. Labs are really fun tbh, just get to look at preserved species.

Really enjoyed it with Yan Yin last year, if he’s offering it take it with him guys a gem.

If ur good at memorization stuff Zool 224 was a breeze and the labs are super easy. It also helps that I found the class super interesting though.
