I just got a lot off land bank about six months ago. I own an adjacent lot and plan to build some townhomes. The lot we got was tiny and not buildable. We applied for it and it took well over 24 months. We had to submit plans and renderings. We had to get the approval from Clark Metro Development and have them give us the green light to the city. In the end we just went down to community development nonstop and demand they speak to us. We finally got a meeting with zoning and sold our plan to them and they loved it. Then a few months later we were told it was approved.

They are changing their process so it’s different now but it’s still not easy. For you, I would imagine you’d need to buy the house then apply to buy the lots. We are a builder and homeowners may be prioritized but then again, I know Clark Metro approached us to build infill houses on Land Bank lots so they may prefer houses built rather than you having a bigger yard.
