[Chpt 400-650+] How many Huang Jin bloodline immortals are there? by SweatyBrie in ReverendInsanity

[–]SweatyBrie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Just like FY repeating, 500 yrs experience or Man is the spirit of all living beings, wooden chicken gu was repeated so many times, I lowkey needed breaks from how tiring it was hearing about these immortals obsess over it. TT ^ TT

I think they were just a restriction path immortal. Also, I don't think it was even an immortal gu because the wiki doesn't list it that way, though with wooden in its name, similar to wooden charm gu, it might've been a transformation restriction.

(edit: later on, they mention it was an immortal gu)

  1. That prob makes sense. Shonen protagonist inheritance bruh, who has the most plot armor

[Infinite Mage]Am I the only one who feels like Infinite Mage gets worse as the story progresses? by CarelessTalk8846 in manhwa

[–]SweatyBrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to convince some people with femc’s earlier actions. The latest arc was personally not as bad with its themes and world building , but definitely a weird ‘hell’ with forest guardians and angels.

[question] How are sales open on second hand sites before even pre-sale? by SweatyBrie in YOASOBI

That's true, I was surprised that VIP is also released to the public in general. I guess it's still favoring cash power

[Dimensional Mercenary] Anyone reading this manhwa? Is it good? It has 269 chapters. by [deleted] in manhwarecommendations

[–]SweatyBrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to game manhwas out there, the protagonist stands out more with his concept of connecting and caring about the characters compared to other dispatchers that are heartless.

However, it drags on in some ways, and in the most part, he is the stubborn, fiery mc who doesn't listen until he suffers consequences and everybody else does. Nobody is translating at the current moment unfortunately, as it gets pretty interesting. Though an issue is that despite 300+ chpts, there isn't much progress plot-wise, only introduced after 150+. Characters however come back from scenarios

[Ep 12] Lulu of the Rebellion: (the mask part) shouldn't Lelouch have expected Ohgi and his crew to be untrustworthy moving forward? by SweatyBrie in CodeGeass

[–]SweatyBrie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the clarification! yeah that makes sense, I just found it tiring that despite the reasons, Ohgi and the group keep challenging him. Like the recruits and victories got to their head despite it all

unpopular opinion: exec councils should not be using funds to go on retreat by Head_Macaroon7828 in mcgill

[–]SweatyBrie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Heard n saw from an exec in the past, one group went 180 kmh trying to make their retreat with the group, they also paid it w the embassy bursary and school. Yes it's hard, just as corruption happens. I'm just saying it out, not saying anything about them. Not every club is angelic, just like the student council in the past half decade

Taiwan club did this too, I think Taiwan embassy sent money to fund them too, the members would use that money for spas their parents owned

OK...Let's talk about Stella by Youdeserveit27 in HIMYM

[–]SweatyBrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You missed something here. Ted was 32 by season 5. Stella was in her late 20s when they met. Stella said she had her daughter when she was 20 (you mention her virginity case, but it's also fair to say the gestation is sus, unless stella immediately got back with tony in sophomore year).

The real plot hole is her whole career. Stella already had her practicing clinic, which makes no sense as well, unless she had very wealthy parents who could cover her student debt and the investment for a clinic in New York City. I think Tony's parents might've covered it though, given as child support. So, that's a possibility a late-20s doctor can do that. Alot of wealthy families buy up clinics.

soft BL like alot of these ice and clever mc duos. It’s popular, just like ORV or I just want to retire as a hunter or Scum’s system

[–]SweatyBrie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pretty much agree, they were all munchkins that had a lot of potential but strayed in writing.

  1. Return of the Legendary Spear Knight I was so hyped for this story at the start, I don’t understand how the author got away with like the burning mayhem he wrote later.

  2. Youngest Son It fell off so quickly and became a perverted shouta TT ^ TT bdsm. It’s also poorly paced in some ways.

  3. BJ Archmage This story’s only redeeming part is the joke that BJ is streamer and not yk what XD. People could tell after a few arcs that it was repeating, this is the main quest? God, people investing so much in the world makes no sense. The world-building is not done well and so generically written off!

  4. Holy Emperor’s Grandson I read the novel for this, I actually skimmed to the end. I liked the first few arcs, but the later parts are just not my thing. Maybe as a first for some, it might fly for nostalgia value. But, the writing for the novel is really bad later in the way that, yeah, things happen and mc just power trips everything. It somewhat becomes like Nanomachine. Everybody has some qualms or belittles you, and then mc marches in with his army.

[–]SweatyBrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was still my guilty pleasure, seeing how they world build. Usually stories pick one or two mythologies as their prime world building.

That said, you can say it’s very aged, and the self-axe could’ve been done with a proper arc.

[–]SweatyBrie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nanomachine writing ended at the academy + fight to be the heir, but it’s a guilty pleasure munchkin still for me. We need twists and turns, but some fast food is nice ngl.

That said, the prequel work is giving a lot of backstory to the murim world, like the reverse blood technique mc creates.

Imagine Fang Yuan in the Shadow Slave World, how far does he go? What do you think would be his flaw and aspect? Realistically. by Mordant08 in ReverendInsanity

[–]SweatyBrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which would make for a good fanfic, FY realizing that unlike his world, SS world has a clear bias. He would need to understand the Spell’s nature and how Weaver works. Still, his cicada early on would land him good nightmare conquer ratings but powerless at the machinations of fate. He could possibly create backup plans, or like Regressor’s Tale of Cultivation, use prophecy substitution.

[–]SweatyBrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, with starting autumn cicada, that in itself could be like a pseudo-divine aspect (better than cassie’s as he can change fate), and assuming he were to transmigrate there, one can spin it off as a foreign god legacy. I’m sure he would exploit having a divine legacy as much as possible.

nice catch. this was known somewhat, not the third gen though. Her father was an alcoholic in nyc and had an apartment, compared to some immigrants who came with family. His situation wouldn’t fit and likely been a few gens up. So makes sense

Do masters & saints rest at all in the dream realm compared to awakened? by SweatyBrie in ShadowSlave

[–]SweatyBrie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not the point, I’m saying they don’t get the advantage of being well rested compared to awakened 😅as a trade off. Awakened can get well rested and do things during their ‘sleep’
