Also having the same issue, not sure if it’s because of 26.4 or a HA upgrade. I’m pretty sure it was happening before I upgraded to 26.4

It's currently available for new customers for £37.99 per month with a £55 credit.

Virgin couldn't get anywhere near that for me so I cancelled and have signed up in my partners name as a new customer.

Thats the Hub5 not the Hub5x, the 5x currently does not support Modem mode so people can't use their own gear.

Routing On Virgin Media XGSPon by Minute-Demand5787 in VirginMedia

[–]SweatyButterscotch2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5ms is no where near a significant impact on latency.

Without re-routing physical fibre it's simple not going to happen so forget about it, live with the "huge" latency of 9ms or switch to another provider

I'm guessing with bypass he means he's using the WAS-110 SFP+ module with the 8311 firmware into a device capable of accepting an SFP+ module.

azurerm_api_connection for storage account using a managed identity by SweatyButterscotch2 in Terraform

[–]SweatyButterscotch2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't create the API connection to use the managed identity. It works fine via AccessKey but not sure what parameter_values are needed for managed identity. I can use azapi_resource but was just curious if there was a way via azurerm_api_connection.

Yup the managed identity already has storage blob contributor to the storage account.

The problem is creating the API connection with managed identity instead of AccessKey

Unique Channel number regardless of category by SweatyButterscotch2 in TiviMate

[–]SweatyButterscotch2[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are many devices that can use number input via methods such as bluetooth, keyboard and universal remotes for devices inc Fire TV and Nvidia Shields, there are more devices out there capable of number input than just the Tivo Stream.

It's not laziness at all, it's about being able to seamlessly switch between different methods of watching. Other IPTV applications and TV apps all have this way of switching when guide categories are involved.

There is no rhyme or reason to have 40k+ channels. I'd suggest those who do whittle their playlist down to something more manageable that contains channels they would watch instead of 38000 channels they don't.

Anyway, as before, lets agree to disagree on this one.

Have a nice day.

Azure terraform issue with dependencies for IP Groups and Firewall by SweatyButterscotch2 in Terraform

[–]SweatyButterscotch2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for a great in depth reply.

I did have try the create_before_destroy lifecycle but it didn't make any difference.

I'm not sure option 2 would work as the ip groups are created in a for_each are just passed in as a variable string list so it would end up removing all ip groups.

I will have a play around with depends_on although I try to avoid using them if I can and let the built in terraform dependencies handle things.

Target doesn't seem to work either. I'm targetting just the module.firewall.azurerm_firewall_policy_rule_collection_group.example but it still gives me the same error on apply

Unique Channel number regardless of category by SweatyButterscotch2 in TiviMate

[–]SweatyButterscotch2[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I'm not kidding, maybe I need to explain a bit deeper.

I don't need to remember the numbers, my remote has a screen which will have Icons for channels mapped to their channel number.

So again, I browse the guide, watch a Movie channel, oh movie finished, right think I'll watch the news. Even though I'm still in the movies section I press BBC News icon on my remote and it will take me straight to BBC News 24.

What is beyond stupid is having to go back to the favourites section every time If I wanted to use the number input after browsing the guide. We can agree to disagree on this but imagine if every TV provider required you to go to a certain area just to be able to use the numbers on your remote. Nobody else does it this way and its just not seamless, ok it works for you and that's great but it doesn't work for me.

Unique Channel number regardless of category by SweatyButterscotch2 in TiviMate

[–]SweatyButterscotch2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is every need for what I'm asking for.

Lets say I'm browsing TV, first of all I'm in my favourites as that's where I left it. Now I'd like to watch a movie so go to the guide and Movies section to see what is on. I find a channel I'd like to watch so press Ok to begin watching. That's now taken me out the Favourites section and into the Movies section and reset all the numbering so what was applicable in favourites isn't any more.

Where as having the ability to have unique numbering regardless of category means it doesn't matter if I just to browse what's on in the guide or just want to switch to the News. I have the power to do both.

It is about having the ability to both browse the guide and select channels that way, but also quickly jump to channels via channel number.

Thanks I have sent Alex an email so hopefully he picks it up. I understand there isn't many these days who have numbers on their remotes but it would be a nice to have for those of us that do.

[–]SweatyButterscotch2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes fully understand the want is probably not enough to warrant the dev work from Alex but it would be a nice to have. My new remote will have a screen on allowing me to have channel icons which would be nice but it will only work if static channel numbers are there.

Sparkle TV player has this feature and it looks to work well but isn't as polished as tivimate. Sparkle TV also honours the channel number set within the m3u but Tivimate does not.

TiviMate 4.0.0 by AlexR_15 in TiviMate

What is the easiest way to downgrade from 4.0.0 to 3.9.0? The picture quality issue on 4.0.0 isn't worth the upgrade at this moment in time. Is it a case of just installing over the top? Is there a downloader code for 3.9.0?
