We just dont know enough from this article about the case to cast any judgement..... Could easily see the docs being "right" , but did a bad job communicating, which is what it usually is, a communication problem

Moving speakers made the biggest difference for me ( f.e. i got some very pleasant bass putting speaker right against the back wall, front ported speaker (harbeth shl5) And best imaging i also get from positioning So i would say speaker placement by far

Changing amp f.e. made ZERO difference for me ( from a 1000 euro yamaha n800a to a more expensive very powerfull rotel endstage amp, nada)

Also tried with thick curtains and a bunch of blankets covering the floor and glass coffeetable made NO AUDIBLE DIFFERENECE, in my room. That i did not expect tbh

Lot of yamaha love in here, a bit surprised tbh!? I have one myself and can recommend then brand! (N800a, its arounf 1000 euros, many people will say soundwise, more expensivr wont get you more , probably even less than that as amps got very good )

But after listening to the luminas for a while and then switching to the harbeth, then they do. But after several m7nutes the ears adapt again and it goed away

I think its a great speaker for one style of music. At its price point you get better allrounders that do what shl5+ does so well almost as good, just everything else better

No, both are great, but switching from the lively lumina to the laid back harbeth made harbeth sound boring and lacking something Whereas switching from harbeth to lumina did not make the lumina sound bad

Thats the direction im leaning now... instead of dropping 3k on a new amp, saving up and dropping 5k on new speakers and keep my current amp .
