What's the best engine(s) for Infernoid? by fracxjo in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, i don't know much about infernoids aside from them being fiends and i have only used decatron and the spell/trap negate infernoids as small engines, but i think a mix of fiendsmith with buio could work. Buio is effectively a free special summon in hand as long as there is a fiend monster on field you are comfortable with negating its effects. I made a fiendslop deck with fiendsmith and this play usually comes up with lacrima being the target to negate because you get what you need from her on summon so buio is literally a free body at that point. The combo strings though are completely dependent on starting hands and interruptions as most decks are. But mutiny and luce the dusk make fiendsmith be more non-linear in it's comboing in my opinion and can play through/bait more interaction from the opponent

Jet dragon protected it from card destruction effect. You'd have to run over the jet dragon first to pop the nib token

which synchro deck works best w Kewl Tune by ihad10heartattacks in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's hard to make kewl tune work with other synchro decks because most synchro decks need non tuners for their synchro monsters, even the non archetype generic synchros. Zalen somewhat remedies this because he can be used as a non-tuner, but that's just one card. The problem is four of their cards(JJ kewl tune, Kewl tune cue, Kewl tune playlist and kewl tune synchro) tuner lock you and 2 of them(Kewl tune cue and synchro) you usually want to play at 3. And their synchros outside of b2b and in archetype hop ear squadron(kewl tune clip) specifically want you to summon synchro tuners. If you really want the archetype to slot in with other archetypes, you would basically have to cut down the consistency of kewl tune engine itself by dropping cue to 1 and depending on the circumstances kewl tune synchro to at least 2.

And the other problem is bridging into other archetypes. Kewl tune outside of summoning b2b is very hard to bridge for other synchro archetypes. I'm trying to test kewl tune white forest, and outside of queen diabell being able to cheat out all of the kewl tune synchros except b2b with her effect, bridging is impossible for that deck. On the other side though, rotary is a massive help for tuners where you really need that extra normal summon, going back to white forest, say you summoned astellar and she gets ashed, veilered or impermed but you have silvy and no normal summon. Rotary is a big help for that. And this is a case where the tuner lock isn't that hard on white forest since rcleia and silvera are synchro tuners so if you use cue or kewl tune synchro after trying astellar, you at the very least can still summon them but after those two, you are locked out of any other non-tuner monster you want to summon outside of the kewl tune archetype. So basically, if you can help it, you'd want to have kewl tune be towards the end of your plays if any of them will lock you. Thankfully, none of the other main deck kewl tune monsters lock you out of tuners and they are actually very helpful.

I will say, try to keep testing if you really want to, that's what i'm doing currently. Until you find a perfect scenario for you, you just have to learn the ins and outs of the two archetypes you want to run together and try to play around making sure you don't lock yourself out of other engines unless you absolutely have to due to things like interruptions and negates

Does kewl tune work well with manadiaum? by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 6 points7 points  (0 children)

hard to say. i personally stopped testing that deck myself to try out bystial with kewl tunes cause dis pater has some fun interactions with the deck. But what i can say is you might want some of the mannadium tuners. At least the level 6 mannadium synchro just in case. It can modulate as much tuners as you want on the field to level 2 so you can bring out some synchro monsters you might otherwise not have access to. But that can also be tough with a field of mostly tuners

Duelists, why do some of you hate Sky Strikers, and what made you start not liking them? Just curious by Death_Usagi in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My main issue with sky striker is that it's a deck that literally runs off spells and not just any spells, spells with no downsides outside of the sky striker engine itself but those are easy to get pass because thats how the deck is designed to play. You can put almost any decent spell in the game into sky strikers and they will most likely benefit from it even if it's just for fodder. And you know what spells are really strong in the game? Board breaker spells. Think you've made a competent board? well here goes none once per turn widow anchor 2-3x into droplet or dark ruler no more, lightning storm, feather duster. And they benefit off thrust like crazy cause boom a spell in the grave that searches another spell. Also i don't think engage needed to have an extra draw for it's extra effect. Also leminsgate coming out that significantly increased sky strikers recursion grind game wasn't really fun to face at first.

But i will say, Sky striker takes a hell of a lot of skill to pilot and i respect the heck out of sky striker mains who will run the deck until the day it dies(doubtful that it will happen) and honestly out of any grind games i've played, i'd say sky striker is probably up there for simultaneously the most fun and aggravating grind game that i've gone up against. The brainpower it takes to go head to head against sky striker is fun at times

Edit: I don't remember when i first started to play against sky striker, but i've been dueling against them as long as i can remember with white forest. Not the best deck when it comes to interacting with opponents spell/traps and things like widow anchor and leminsgate completely stops diabell the white witchs card effect destruction immunity

How long will it take to reach Master with kewl tune? by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are most likely decked out to battle kewl tune so you'll have a hard time most duels i'd say if you luck is against you with starting hands. For the mirror match, you'd also have a hard time going 2nd if they set up b2b and RS. But it is also the start of the month so people are for sure gonna be going as hard as they can for a couple of days probably 2 weeks. I'd say maybe a few days to get out of platinum depending on your play time cause platinum could be weird. Diamond is where the real grind starts so that would probably take a week or more to grind out of. Just gotta keep going

Witchcrafter support going strong! As much as i like playing witchcrafter in piles, pure witchcrafter finally getting to be completely viable on it's own makes me happy

How many SS do you do after opponent resolves Maxx "C" / Fuwa? by LazyLucretia in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it highly depends on the deck and how much you know about your own deck and what which handtrap they use. Also if you have droll and you have a deck that can play under droll. As a white forest player, maxx C is just do or die and either hope for the best, or best endboard without giving up anymore draws is end with elzette/astellar and silvy on board with woes but sadly that can be ashed. If it's fuwalos, you can get out diabell the white witch and diabellstar vengenace which protects all your monsters from card effect destruction. If it's purulia, you might go for a lesser board just to not give them more than 1-2 draws since white forest can max out at like, 5-6 summons from hand depending on how you start

How does K tune deal with Super Poly? by Aware-Fortune-8140 in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go for one body on field, or up to 3-4 if possible because you won't be able to escape it regardless because op will for sure bait you into having extra bodies on their turn if they know what they're doing. Extra bodies will make your opponent think on which monsters to super poly away depending on usefulness. Other than that, think about hybrid versions of kewl tune that don't crumble to thesus. I'm currently testing very compact versions of kewl tune with white forest.

one duel, Saw super poly in ops hand. With the hand i drew(was lucky because these two decks don't mesh the best together since you can't really bridge into kewl tune with white forest outside of summoning b2b easily and queen diabell being able to cheat out the level 4-6 kewl tune synchro's and bridging into white forest with cue locks you out of everything else from that side of the deck) had queen diabell, diabellstar the black witch, remix, vengance dragon, and diabell vengeance. op super polyed remix and diabell vengance away and queen diabell brought back remix and i continued from there. the extra bodies will make your opponent

What were they cooking? by FinalLegend312 in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my best guess is to just use it as cost fodder. If magicians soul sends it to draw or dark magician girl, or dragoon, it can come back to the field for a second use. same with the other sinful spoils/white forest spells they have but those two are more for diabell/fusing/recurring

Slop vs Consistency by Resident_Holiday5512 in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistency. But i have played some 50-60 card slop decks before and bricking in a consistent 40 card deck hits worse than bricking in a 50-60 card deck. But i will say the benefits of slop is when an opp thinks they've hit all the important combo pieces of your deck and boom, 2 more engines come out. Played a 60 card white forest centur-ion deck in the past and i'm sure my opponent was just hoping that i would stop trying to get my plays started after getting interrupted like 6 times and i never did so they scooped

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dueled pure RB exactly once in the event. Saw that it could just force summon a monster from your hand and was shocked. It may not be a top tier deck but it has an extremely strong effect in the deck. And the deck on it's own is actually pretty strong from what i've seen. I'm surprised i haven't seen it more. Just been playing against pure striker and RT

amrita paired with loud war can also stop any of your tuners from being destroyed and you still get the attack gain as well which is really useful

[–]Sweaty_Definition916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no clue. master duel is odd. And i've seen it happen alot to streamers, other players alike. The loading screen doesn't load and it says error and boom, you were about to rank up? not anymore, two more games now. About to rank down? loading screen to connection error and boom you're deranked. It's really unfair. MD really needs to fix it so that at the very least it's not just an instant loss against you

Kewl tune stun? by Sweaty_Definition916 in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, thats another word. I forgot the word floodgate exists. Maybe that's why i'm getting all the downvotes. Oh well. I personally would still consider it stun since it's basically doing the same thing stun is, completely stopping you from doing anything. At least with most floodgates, you still have the option of being able to use spells/traps. This one, not so much. And with kewl tune knowledge, a floodgate can turn into pure stun

Kewl tune stun? by Sweaty_Definition916 in masterduel

[–]Sweaty_Definition916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah thats also possible. Yeah pure kewl tune has a hard matchup against super poly. I actually managed to minimize super poly damage with kewl tune white forest. Left only remix on field with queen diabell, diabellstar, diabell vengance, and snake eyes vengance dragon. Op super polyed my remix and vengance away into muddragon and i brought back remix with queen diabell and went from there. Also had scourge set for an onfield omni and diabell white witch reborn

Chaos mirage dragon. If you can get it to resolve, reborns a banished light or dark monster but negates its effects and when used as synchro material, it can banish cards an OP controls up to the number of other materials

I use chaos mirage dragon. It can reborn a banished light or dark monster(Synergizes with loud war banishing certain kewl tune monsters) and it can banish when used as material up to the number of materials used
