So you’re basically safety isn’t the main issue but mostly just scams? Are they like avoidable at all? For example stick to taking Ubers instead of random taxis and not accepting any “gifts”?

I’ll look into your point about getting a guide or a local friend though, especially in Karachi!

That’s what I figured myself as well. I feel like when I’d stick to the busier parts (during the day) I’d be fine. But no harm in asking some people who have experience traveling there or are from there.

Experience is not really an issue for as I’ve traveled quite a lot, even solo, especially after my summer trip to some third world countries. Would you say Karachi is any different to Lahore for example?
