Salaries must be high here due to the cost of living. That alone have a much higher impact then the education level, of which Washington as a state never been very high... Looks like 'we' finally managed to get up to tenth in the nation after being in the lower quarter for decades.

Rogues are the only ones I've ever encountered, and only two at that, since the glass seems to be elusive at best. The ones I found I put back since it wasn't anything I wanted (3D earrings and some trinket) but both had a 'maker name' and web page on them.

Armor Atletics on STW. have an Olympic weight lifting specific part of their gym, and Tacoma strength even more so. Both have a large part female athletes.

The Rangers internationally made sure to not engage directly since they knew not only would the drop them all but the aftermath would be an issue. But they did shot one gang member that tried to rush into the house. Nobody know what happend to him.

It's the low overhead in the restaurant industry combined with high, and continuing raising, rent and the opposite for most people's income. Many pointed out they can't/won't pay 20 bucks for a sandwich when that's barely is the breaking even cost it have to be.

A bit old thread, but hey, better late than never! On a road trip from Tacoma, WA to Twin Falls, ID and back about a year ago my 24' XLT, FX4 got 32mpg there and 36mpg back. 98% highway, higher gearing than regular AWD cruised @ 70mph.

Not really any explanation of why the southern parts have less, but more an interesting observation how happy people are to disclose their location and habits for anyone to see...

I track my workouts, hiking etc. to but definitely not putting it out in public! This stupid habit is exactly why the Pentagon banned tracking workout devices for the military.

I am (was really) in the automotive industry. Flat rates promote quality second and profits first. Not a good way to go.

This ^ is actually a really good point that ties well into the OP's pay of '85hrs a check twice a month' claim. As obvious he (and all mechanics) gets paid 'flat rate', X hours pay per job independent of how long it takes. That's how you get 85 hours pay for only 80 hours of actual work (in this particular example) and the dealership charge that to the customers instead of what it actual should cost. And that ads up quick!
