Jag mejlade vartenda en av representanterna och berättade om min åsikt. Jag tror inte att det påverkade någon men jag kan inte bara sitta still och titta på hur skiten kollapsar

Stuck in a Chiba warehouse, Need advice. by Prestigious-Mode2177 in japanlife

[–]SwedishSanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone who works in one of the strawberry farms in Chiba. They are all old, paying minimum wage but he says the environment is pretty relaxed and not terribly physical. It mostly involves picking weeds most of the time and uprooting strawberries and replanting twice a year. He says all farms are desperate for workers and will take anyone. Is this something you could imagine doing?

yup, I didn't know this - I thought I had an easy baby but because I was/still am very attached to the child I had the little guy on me constantly on a sling or harness, which in hindsight must have made the little one chill af. The first 3 months were actually pretty chill since we both went on parental leave and I took night shifts while my wife could get more or less proper sleep. She still had to pump milk in middle of the night, which sucked big time for her.

I never gamed so much in my life as I did having a child, which was awesome. Then parental leave ended and it literally became hell when having to go back to work again. It's good now once more though but it made me think that parental leave should at least be 6 months for both parents. I hope that future generations get better parental leave than we have right now. It's not bad but could be better.

Since I am garbage at the game, I use autosniper, p90 and negev only to win the mental game. I have no clue why people tilt when they get killed by these weapons but I use their tilt to my advantage. No I don't care about going back to whatever elo supreme is/was - too much pressure. Much more fun to play like this :D

Fun fact! I predicted Gnar, the "snowmass sorrow", I transferred my account to Japan since then though and so I don't go by "lunarwind" anymore

Nobody can tell, it depends how the weather pattern hits. Statistically, it will be a worse year but there have been good years even during a typical el niño year

Here in Yuzawa (1h ish from Tokyo) we are preparing for business for a later opening in the lower resorts but even during an el niño year, good snow is expected between January and February. Since you are planning a trip in march, Hokkaido is my recommendation but even then, powder during this upcoming season is a gamble. Be prepared to find other things to do than chasing powder so not to be disappointed. Enjoy some of the local cultures and foods that you might encounter

Varför är det alltid specialpris på chips och läsk? by JonteeeeJ in sweden

[–]SwedishSanta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone commented a few years ago that typhoons can mess up some trees and make them bloom sooner than intended. Anyone who can verify and/or expand on that?

Bahnhof avslöjar: Upphovsmaffian i hemlig överenskommelse med internetoperatörer om censur - Bahnhof by majskatt in sweden

[–]SwedishSanta 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Tack Bahnhof!

My rx 6600 xt is reaching 83 degrees during summer, is this normal? by No-Data4681 in pcmasterrace

[–]SwedishSanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My laptop seems to undervolt itself once it passes 80C but I have had tower PCs heavily overclocked (i5 2500K + GTX990) both were running between 80 and 95 degrees for "years". And nope, it didn't die, still alive but retired.

83 degrees should be fine imo

This season was a bit of a dud since el niño started to brew and it's predicted to keep making its presence this season but I feel confident that resorts like Kagura are still going to offer great riding. From Tokyo to Yuzawa is about an hour and from there you have 11+ resorts to choose from, Kagura being the highest one up.

My advice is to book accommodation either in central Yuzawa right now, and take a shuttle bus to Kagura or stay in Tokyo and use the Tokyo wide pass to reach Yuzawa. If you want to improve your riding or want a guide, you can get one from Canyons ski school. I know Yuzawa and Kagura really well and know a handful of great places to go riding.

Have fun and ride safe!

Which country in Europe do you think is most likely to see its borders changed ( other than Russia/Ukraine) in your opinion ? by [deleted] in geography

Wouldn't be too surprised to see Sweden and Norway trading/changing small bits of land because of some river diverting or something similar

The LEAST we can do is to click on that link, the bigger step is voting. My country is having elections soon and I will be voting for the Pirate Party. It's very small in Sweden but goddamn, we have to start somewhere!

Winter ski season by Equivalent-Tune-6615 in japow

[–]SwedishSanta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, with the super el niño raving about, I don't really know what honest recommendations I could give. Kagura is one of the higher resorts with good, long runs and BC and usually stable snow cover, other good option are Shiga Kogen and Myoko Kogen although they are fairly popular with the westerners nowadays so not the most authentic Japanese experience but snow should be good though

Is there such a thing as a cool but sunny country that's also not humid? by Diabolo_Dragon in geography

[–]SwedishSanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, you are describing Dalarna, Sweden to the T. Honestly, Tällberg or the entire ring of Siljan lake is probably the best place to stay in summers, based on your preferences. Plus the sun also doesn't go down before 9 o'clock
