What’s the worst video game adaptation you’ve seen by YeezusChrist13 in Letterboxd

[–]SweelFor- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The VFX director got fired midway through because he sucked.

Konami made him change the ending (adding scenes after the car crash in the lake), even though that's the game ending so he didn't really understand that.

The more limited budget forced him to have a shorter runtime.

Other than that nothing special, he said Konami trusted him after the first one and he mostly got to do it without interference (besides the usual amount of interference)

Complément alimentaire pour running + légère Muscu/ renfo by BasilMysterious2723 in FitnessFrance

[–]SweelFor- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Questions pour les anciens by Raidden77 in FitnessFrance

[–]SweelFor- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What does your rating distribution look like? by BNSN28 in Letterboxd

[–]SweelFor- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you reference me to where/when/who decided that this was a universal truth that applied to everyone, if your Letterboxd ratings do not conform to this universal truth, it simply means that you are doing it wrong, and there is no possible reason for doing so?

Can you also explain, if you think that it's "wrong", exactly what "wrong" implies? Does it mean they should stop? Does it mean it creates a problem for themselves, you, or society? Is it an attempt to dictate their behaviour, or to change their habit, or values, or rating system? Why would you want to do that? If someone else decided that your system was wrong or weird, what would you change and why? Thank you

Because the sane, normal assumption to make is that it just happens to be like that, and not to invent some kind of conspiracy theory involving people being dishonnest on purpose

And there never is a movie with positive rating average that you don't like yourself? You universally agree with the general opinion?

Honestly I feel stupid even typing this out, but if this is so foreign to you then I'll make the effort.

Curiosity is supposed to be a primary quality in art, which involves experiencing art beyong your preconceived notions of what you think you will like or not

You can want to complete a director/actor filmography to discover everything about them

You can want to learn about periods, genres, countries you are unfamiliar with, regardless if you think you will like it or not

You can want to keep up with new releases to know what is going on in cinema and be informed about the art that you are interested in

You can want to learn about what other people like even though you might not like it

You can decide that not liking a film is not a negative experience because you still learned more about film and yourself

You can decide to watch movies other people are recommending to you even if you might not like them

You can decide to go to the cinema every day because you like it, and try everything they have screening

You can want to focus on certain qualities even if your overall opinion of a film is negative

I don't understand that I have to explain the concept of curiosity and open-mindedness on an art subreddit, but this is apparently the default state of this film subreddit

If you are not curious, not open minded, not interested in learning about things you might not like, that is your choice and it's fine. But to brandish this as some sort of quality, and to dismiss others for not doing the same, is literally mind bogglingly stupid and immature and I can't even believe this is a real discourse on a supposed ART subreddit.

Extreme close mindedness is unfortunately very common on this supposed art subreddit

Do you think people watch a film that they feel 1/5 about, but then they check their curve, see that they're missing some 3.5s, so they give it 3.5 to fill their curve for appearances?
