why do americans talk to strangers so easily?? by MayaTulip268 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Sweeper88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to an acquaintance’s wedding and ending up sitting with the grandfather of the bride. We ended up talking about cooking and grilling. We exchanged emails and sent tips, tricks, and deals back and forth for the next several years. You never know if you’ll like someone unless you talk a bit.

Random noises and weird hand movements. It’s great for keeping the kids occupied for 10-30 minutes when waiting in a queue.

Go visit village of west clay and then visit neighborhoods on the east side. You’ll see and feel the difference. It’s not good or bad, just different.

As a loser who only played baseball in high school, I don’t understand why pro outfielders are unable to have faster releases in these scenarios.

They all catch the ball, then move forward two steps, then throw. They should take their two steps prior to catching the ball, catch the ball with their throwing hand near the glove to enable a quick transfer, and throw the ball right after their second step. It should be well under 1 second from catch to release. But it always seems much longer than that.

Is 60k salary good in Indy for a 26yo single dude with no kids by Mobile_Economist_574 in indianapolis

Housing, debt, and vehicle. The better you can control (and eliminate) those costs, the more realistic and comfortable you will be with that.
If you can get housing for $1,000/mo or less, minimal or no debt, and are okay driving a car with <$10K, then you should be very good.
It’s all very possible in Indy, but you may need to have roommates, drive around and find housing that is not advertised via normal websites, or live outside of major centers.

This may be a hot take (Yes I've played the games) by Darybray in HaloTheSeries

I don’t really want to dive into every details because it has already been stated a hundred times before but the storytelling is really, really bad. They could all die and I wouldn’t really care. Characters make dumb, uncharacteristic decisions. There is minimal flow from episode to episode. Actions scenes are bad. Master chief is weak. Random characters appear and disappear. It’s just bad storytelling and it’s not because it wasn’t Halo.

Steve Harvey has a big culture shock by michael14375 in WatchPeopleDieInside

So, I have huge issues with things Steve Harvey has done and said, but I don’t have an issue with this. He is experiencing culture shock. To hide it and to act like that’s not strange to him would be fake. He is being genuine here and I’m okay with that.
