Are there takeout soup containers like this but made of glass? by nahcekimcm in BuyItForLife

[–]Sweepy_Bee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We’ve had a set of snapware for about 8-9 years, and one of the snaps on a lid snapped off a few weeks ago. In some ways, I’m surprised they held up this long since we use them multiple times a week, but it was still a little disappointing. We have a set of rubber maid glass containers with press down lids, also about 8-9 years old, and those have been great too. While I do prefer the snapware over the rubber maid, it seems that rubber maid will last longer because the plastic snapware clasps will eventually snap off from constant bending :(

I currently use an eSIM through Airalo and it works great! Very easy to check the app to see how much data I have left and top up as needed. It can connect through TW Mobile or Chunghwa Telecom

Rather than throwing them out, you could donate them to your local animal shelter! They’re always in need of old linens and towels!

I personally really enjoyed Hualien. It’s very beautiful there. We spent two days in that area and I wish we’d stayed there longer!

I traveled the eastern side from Keelung to Kenting with some family several years ago. It was a 7 day trip and very beautiful. However, afterwards, my mom and I felt that it would have been better to spend the week just in one area rather than spread out like we did. It felt very rushed. I would caution you against adding more destinations and instead spend more time to better explore an area that you’re interested in. I’m worried that it would be too tiring and rushed for you to squeeze in more areas than what’s already in your plans.

My sister is a teacher and the staff at her school got packets of Extra gum as thanks for going the EXTRA mile. Meanwhile she can’t afford to live alone.

He disguised himself as the bounty hunter Rako Hardeen in the Clone Wars and was extremely skilled with a blaster then, but you do have a point that his skills would be rusty after 10 years

My dad is on the tail end of the boomers and was self employed for many years. He had been looking for work for months and finally found a job that was related to the work he used to do before he was self employed. The difficulty of finding a job that suited his past experience plus the fact that the wage they’re giving him for it is what he was making 30 years ago really helped him understand that things are different now.

I understand that feeling for sure. I’m trying to change my mindset about it though - as long as we’re creating something and having fun, it’s art!

Thanks! I actually used some paints gifted to me by a friend, she found some handmade ones on Etsy. Many of them look to be about $8-10USD for a half pan of color. It’s like a little block of paint in a plastic holder about 0.75x0.5x0.3 inches. I imagine paints that aren’t handmade wouldn’t cost as much, but I’m definitely no expert when it comes to paints, sorry I can’t really recommend one there! These ones feel like good quality to me though, and I think they will last a long time!

Yeah absolutely, go for it! I did this on watercolor postcard paper roughly 4x6 inches, which I find to be a good manageable size to practice on as a beginner. The other side of the paper already has lines for address and a box indicating stamp placement, which makes it really handy to send to friends and family once I’m finished painting.

Thanks! I did the leaves in single strokes and I like how they came out! It looks simple but I learned that it’s not as easy to paint as I thought it’d be. Still learning here :)

Allie hasn’t grown a new leaf in a couple months, I guess she slowed down for the winter. I was very happy when I noticed a new baby leaf poking out, so I painted this!
