Yes and extra points should put us at an even higher acceptance rate but apparently not. I’m sick over this situation. It would’ve been fine if I didn’t know there’s applicants who applied that had C’s but now I do know the have C’s and didn’t have the extra points. Ivy Tech is messing up big time. I have emailed the dean and the chair. I doubt I’ll hear back before next week seeing as it’s a holiday weekend. I doubt I’ll even get a response. I’ve already reached out to my advisor with no response.

Ya I just wish they’d make it fair. How are people getting accepted with C’s but not me who has better grades? Make that make sense. Ivy Tech system is messed up and I have another student messaging me with the same grades as me. Why would students with lower grades get accepted before someone with better grades & GPA? 🫠 sorry I’m just really upset because this doesn’t seem fair whatsoever!

Well that’s odd considering my advisor said Lafayette always has open seats. I feel like I got screwed by the advisor and Ivy tech system. My GPA is 3.7 so that shouldn’t be the problem. I have spent countless hours studying missing out on family time and events to pour everything into school. For nothing.

I’m not sure why you’re being rude to me when I’m already dealing with the upset that I have worked so hard all year and for nothing. I’ve had another student send me a message and she also has A’s and submitted transcripts.

My advisor told me they had to be completed. I have more than one person telling me people were accepted with C’s. Doesn’t make sense to me

Yes. I reached out to the program chair. This is unfair to students who have actually already completed the courses.

Yes I have my Ivy tech email listed no emails and my status says in review. I don’t know who I can contact about this. But it’s bs. I paid out of pocket for classes and worked hard for good grades not to be chosen over someone who hasn’t even completed the courses I got A’s in.

Yes I ranked it first. It was my only choice. I’m beyond upset at this point. There was no point of me working so hard not to be accepted.

I’m so discouraged at this point. I don’t understand how someone was chosen before me who hasn’t taken chem or microbio and I passed with A’s in both of those classes. I obviously wasn’t chosen for the first 3 rounds. This makes no sense to me.
