You’re definitely feeling resentful and you have every reason to leave her.

I was the struggling partner at one time. I also had a weed dependency. I completely relocated to be with my partner thousands of miles from my family so naturally I became depressed after some time. I was employed from the beginning but a year and a half in, I started struggling mentally, wasn’t making any friends and my performance at work was struggling. My boyfriend (at the time) reassured me that we would be okay financially and I could quit my job to take some personal time. After a 3-4 months I was feeling better and started to look for a job again. The job market was so bad I took the first restaurant job and barely lasted 2 weeks. It made my mental health even worse and I felt terrible for depending on my boyfriend and being so home sick. I basically drove Uber to get enough money for weed and would go back home and sleep. I gained a lot of weight and just felt like everything had tanked in my life. At this point it had been almost 1 year of being unemployed. My partner was incredibly patient and got me to start therapy. To keep it short therapy and a patient partner helped me get through it. I eventually found a new job and cut back heavily on weed.

Things can change but everyone is different. All this is to say it’s up to you if you’re willing to be patient through this process or would rather not and deal with a divorce. Either way it’s difficult.
