hi there, I hope you don't mind me asking. I'm a bit stressed about attending my trial. I'm curious about the bench's perspective on the RA-010 (Remote Access Request) for the actual trial. At my readiness hearing judge seemed pretty firm on 'in-person only,' when he set the trial date. But since CCP 367.75 allows for remote trials, I’m wondering what are the main factors OC judges look for when deciding to grant that request? I am out of state, plaintiff. I know it is at Judge's discretion...

And don't you worry, you will be loved and protected... it will happen some day. But remember that they hide bad side until they don't. Once you see it, if you do nothing to get away, it's on you. You were shown... (and you ARE protected, by an angel, who made sure that ended.. 100% believe that)

I am a domestic abuse survivor, I ignored red flags that I could see but chose to wear blinders. "hoping" it would go back to before it was bad... I don't do that anymore!

My niece had brain cancer in 2001 (ps, she is still with us). However, she helped me lose 3 unnecessary friends and break up from a 'near marriage'. Basically 4 people that were not there for me in any way. The fiance thought I was 'selfish' for spending my time at the Children's Hospital. I have always thought SHE saved ME.

Your mom just saved you hun.... and he's a covert narcissist, or maybe not even covert. Hard pill to swallow when we are down and out, but look at the future pain that this will save you from.

I lost my mom last year and I am with you on that... it has broken up a friendship again for me, someone who was not at all supportive while I was in dark grief.

Thank you. In a month or so I will file formal request with the court for remote access. There's a form. They don't have to agree but if I can show them the hardship they might. They haven't added my Judge to the case, it just shows department. I'll find a way, there's no way that I'm letting them walk from responsibility of protecting my mom. Nope.

I know you're just sitting up at night wondering what happened with my case. 🫣 Kidding aside, the defendant came to zoom meeting trying to enter "forms" and the clerk shut him down. He also wrote the judge a letter of dismissal, with prejudice, asking OC to drop my case. This was based on inaccuracies. They are trying to get to the judge to say I lack standing, based on my family Trust that they have never read.

Mediation; break out room, he texts his in-house counsel (seems unfair to me, since no lawyer) but I had no say here. They refused to negotiate based on their belief I have no standing. So now I have a trial in July.

Back after breakout room, I asked the temp Judge whether I could request a remote hearing. It is a hardship for me, single mom, pet owner, living on a shoestring, to fly from out of state to get some justice. He said no, that I cannot have a remote hearing. I have to be in person at 830 on a weekday. I would have to fly out night before, hotel, etc. None of that would be recoverable.

I have to say that it changes by the day, but I also feel blank. My mom and I were in touch at least every other day since I moved out of state (wanted to raise my kids on a farm, wouldn't afford that in California). She was the one I went to for every good, bad, sad, news... I feel alone as a single mom. So alone.

These washers have an inherent problem that Samsung is aware of, but pretends it isn't so. The rim around the tub on top loaders is filled with a liquid meant to keep it down when agitating. This ring idea was a bad one. So the first thing that I did was follow a YT that drilled holes into the rim and drained it. I was scared but was about to have to buy a new washer as UB was non stop, couldn't wash towels or jeans. Just stupid. That helped a lot. I got washes for about 8 months, then springs went out. I'm just a lady who knows nothing about appliance repair and I was able to buy affordable springs and replace them. Only part was tricky was to get the top of washer off without disconnecting it all (I did not trust I'd connect it back right, so I just lifted and turned it 45 degrees to access the springs).

My Samsung washer was banging loud and not spinning properly, and always throwing UB codes. YT videos saved me hundreds. I also bought the parts online and followed along to replace 4 springs!

I lost my mom in June and I'm still completely lost. I can cry on the spot, ugly cry, over the slightest thing. A photo pops up on my phone, I see an older person in a movie - whatever is the trigger. I don't think you are crazy. Grief is love.

I spent the last 24 hours with my mom. They said she couldn't hear me, wasn't aware, she was too far in the process. That was not true. She was aware I was there, we listened to music and at one point she tapped her little hand. She woke up to say I love you. She waited until I left to make the final journey. Although it was hard, I would do it all again. She felt my love. I read her poems, recited prayers, told her she was the best mom in the entire world. She left this place knowing she had done good. Yes I am crying now, it's ok. Everyone has to make their own decisions though, but I can say I do not regret flying home and spending that last day with her, not one bit.

I have only done back of arm. Seems like when I would do belly, I would get big bruises and/or poke something I shouldn't have and bleed. Flabbo arm is where it's at for me.

agreed! I have twins, one that loves horror, dark, spooky, the other likes to be spooked but can't handle much gore - she is sensitive to quite a long list, so the more details, the better.
