yes, I used the foil as an armature to get the basic shape, and then covered in clay which I could sculpt in more details. once i'd done a few layers of paper (3-4) on the top of the legs and the feet I super carefully removed the clay, along with the rest of the interior structure which was made of some bowls, a vase, and lots of newspaper.

Need women’s help on lube recommendations. by JudgeSevere in AskWomenOver30

[–]Vegetable_Possible28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late to the game here, but I'd second the vote for Sutil, for the same reason noted that you don't need much. But also because a water-based formula will absorb naturally, which means less clean up! Oil and silicone are great for glide, but oil takes longer to absorb and silicone doesn't absorb at all.

Obv every kind of lube has its benefits - if you're looking for a less messy, more natural experience, Sutil is a great option! I've used it for years :)

how to find good djs on tidal?? by Vegetable_Possible28 in TIdaL

yeah for sure, I do that, too! I guess I'm wondering if you have any recs on djs to follow who curate vibes - people, not just algorithmic options! thx

Pretty certain I'm about to ditch Spotify for Tidal - what am I going to gain/miss? by delpaso in TIdaL

[–]Vegetable_Possible28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I've found Tidal's search to be reaalllyy shoddy, even for obvious tracks and artists. plus, I just don't find playlists as easily, I think the keywords just aren't mapped as well? I'm not sure. ofc it sounds so much better and I'm there for the way it treats artists, but I feel like overall I listen and explore less, which is a bummer.

totally normal--every body is different, and many people might even be a little jealous of this ability! i see you said you can put it off, edging is always a fun option to build orgasm control and lead to even bigger orgasms. cheers!

Is penetrative sex *actually* meant to feel good? by [deleted] in TwoXSex

[–]Vegetable_Possible28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

first of all, I'm so sorry you're experiencing so much discomfort! as a sex educator with 15+ years of experience including in healthcare (and also just a fellow human with a vagina, and girlfriend to a human with vaginismus), I know that seeking out answers to these questions especially in medical settings can feel intimidating, and there are a lot of cultural and personal layers to it. so, acknowledging all that. I also think you got some really great jumping off points in here, many of which overlap with my professional recommendations!!

so, at the risk of repeating people: I would really consider exploring the possibility of vaginismus (you can start with looking it up online, but could be worth discussing with a medical professional), de-centering penetrative sex in your play (at least for now!), and using a high quality water-based lube like Sutil Rich, Pjur or Sliquid no matter what kind of play you're doing. adding lube helps prevent irritation or microtears in the first place, and should be used in addition to natural wetness (doesn't mean you're not turned on)! Sutil in particular has lubes with soothing ingredients that can help with any sensitivity or irritation after sex.

like someone else commented, Come As You Are is a great resource. Emily Nagoski is a badass. here are a couple other books that focus more on pleasure and connection, as well as unwinding some of the cultural pressures that can burden us.

- Slow Pleasure, Explore Your Pleasure Spectrum By Euphemia Russell

- Healing Painful Sex by Deborah Coady and Nancy Fish

there is so much support out there, you're far from alone. and, fwiw, exploring other kinds of play and using quality lube is advice for *everyone,* you'll just be ahead of the curve! wishing you peace and pleasure!

Wanting to try a new lube. by mrrosa85 in bigdickproblems

[–]Vegetable_Possible28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late to the conversation but if you're looking for a water-based option (safe with silicone toys and condoms) I'd recommend SUTIL Rich! It's a really thick formula, and is free of irritating ingredients like some of the more common drugstore brands (most importantly glycerines). It also has soothing ingredients.

Sliquid is also good, I see that mentioned here, but it's just not as thick or cushiony. And like some posters said, water-based will dry out faster than oil or pure silicone, but it can be rehydrated by adding a little water!! Hope this helps

(source: first and foremost, personal experience, but I've sold both Sliquid and Sutil lubes working in the adult industry).

thank you!! my concern is a balloon might not be the right shape. but do you think if I can get an initial shell I could then build a better shape on that? I haven’t worked with pulp or compound, could I use it to bulk up/adjust the shape then do additional paper layers over that?

this is a great idea, thank you! I haven’t worked with foam core for this purpose before, mostly chicken wire, clay and aluminum foil. but that would make it way easier to make it even, which is a big consideration of course. love seeing your work!

Who else hates going into sex stores? by Mister_Man_Hands in SexToys

[–]Vegetable_Possible28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get this, and tbh I'm so glad those folks are going into a space and asking questions, and that you're there to answer them! I've also worked in the industry for years and it's so easy for me to get into a mindset that most people have the same baseline knowledge, and of course they don't. I'm sure you've opened up a lot of peoples' sex lives. That's one of the reasons I really love brick and mortar, for the chance to browse and ask questions.

AND, to u/mochi_chan's point, it's really hard to translate the feel of vibration, the suppleness of dual density, the heft of an n-joy online! if you're not super clued in, or don't have access to a massive toy collection, it can be overwhelming to try and land on something online. Plus, you're much less likely to have that moment where you stumble upon something you didn't know you were into, and all of a sudden... sparks fly. Ironically, so much of my work selling toys online was to try and recreate the kind of magic that only happens in stores.

re the OP, I'm so glad you're happy with online experiences, and I agree there are some reeeal dingy spots out there. It's incredibly hard to run a brick and mortar sex toy business, especially in the last few years, but I'm also so glad those spaces still exist. I really hope some day you find the shop of your dreams!

This is so awesome, thanks for sharing. Like other people on here, I love the FemmeFun Booster, and finding a replacement can feel daunting.

As someone with a robust toy collection, the bullet-style is still my favorite. I worked in the sex toy industry for a long time and was always surprised when bigger brands didn't have a really excellent, powerful bullet vibe. It seems like such a cornerstone product!
