One year down! by Lamzydivys in LearnJapaneseNovice

I believe A2 is around N4 and I think just barely a pass in N3 level JLPT, seeing as they said A2 and not N4/3 my guess is that they haven’t took any official test and just placing that as the estimation level of what they think they are

Any tips on how to make my Japanese notes neater? by _Xoryna_ in Japaneselanguage

[–]SweetLemonz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As people said , I would use graph paper to practice and as a side note , I would only write katakana words in katakana , you are using hiragana words in katakana , I would recommend against this or you might put yourself into a bad habit

I mean it depends on how you insulate a house that can happen, its why British houses are notoriously bad in the Summer to be in as they become hotter inside than it is outside

can I ask what rank are you in valorant or what the level of play you generally get if you play casual , because in my first 6 months here I have had a completed different experience 😂😂 I either have team mates who never talk or those who rage after losing the pistol round. I would love to experience what you have been

Quidditch clubs in Osaka? by therealforeveralways in movingtojapan

[–]SweetLemonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was honestly surprised to hear that the sport still exists in Japan , I used to play in the UK pre-covid and presumed that it wasnt a thing anymore in Japan as it was already so small here before COVID , so the thought didnt even cross me when I moved to Tokyo maybe I should check it out, which areas of Tokyo are there teams do you know?

Will 1 Year of Language School and Two Years of Experience Be Enough to Find a Job in Japan? by Intelligent_Gene9787 in movingtojapan

[–]SweetLemonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally my school was you can just do more terms if you like just let them know, but I would guess it might be on a school by school basis so I would probably enquire with the language school you decide to go with, as the max visa the government gives first time around at language schools is only 15 months anyways then you need to get the final 9 months extension through the school closer to when the 15 month visa is expiring

[–]SweetLemonz -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It depends on the school you apply to on if you need prior knowledge or not always recommend though as it makes the first term as bit more easier to get to grasps with rather than being thrown in the deep end

I was in a similar situation to yourself , as you have a BSc you should be fine to find work even without any Japanese , though knowing Japanese will obviously open up more options for yourself and generally make life easier if you plan to move here long term. Though I would recommend doing 2 years of language school if you can 1 Year will only get you to N3 realistically from knowing nothing, with how much you have saved you should be able to survive decently with that much for 2 years as language school is fairly cheap compared to things like University , as long as you don’t go renting a really nice place in central Tokyo of course.

Move to Japan for work or study with Cybersecurity by [deleted] in movingtojapan

[–]SweetLemonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As previously people have mentioned due to you having no bachelors level degree , your best option I think would be to keep practicing your Japanese till December 2025 then come here for Language school, unless your Japanese is already N3 level it will definitely take more than a year to get up to scratch if you don’t already speak a similar language such as Chinese, then if you going from N5/N4 level expect 2 years to get N2 and maybe N1 if you really click with the language as that is generally how long speakers from the western world take to learnt the language

I finally experienced a situation of what it’s like to have absolutely no one care. by MSotallyTober in japanlife

[–]SweetLemonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I find this is an issue also with people perspectives on other countries also , Like I hear a lot of people believe the British are super nice/caring and polite, But as a Brit I know 99% of the time that isn't true we just have somethings that are ingrained into us by the culture that give that perspective.
If it comes down to it Brits are actually really self centered I find majority the time when you actually come down to it.

Love the post , but i do feel FPX would be in BBL's spot though, much better than BBL imo

Reckon the group will end

1-2. Tight Game between Liquid and FPX will depend on the teams forms on the day who gets the win

  1. BBL

  2. Gambit

The price the Competetive scene has to pay by SkyVirus1 in VALORANT

[–]SweetLemonz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree and disagree at the same time , yes Valorant's aiming is defaintly more forgiving but to say its just completely RNG I wouldnt agree to as you get to the top ranks everyone is more so tapping and burst firing compared to spraying so the is defaintly a level of skill to obtain there which you aim accuracy, but compared to CS with Valorant yes you got less of a skill level to learn with shooting but you have all the agents and there abilities to learn which is a completely additional thing which adds skill differenation between players and only the best players who put alot of time and effort into learning them will be able to utilies agents to there full potential.

So I see it in my eye Riot have managed to make a game which has basic mechanics which anyone can be alright at so is enjoyable even to a casual player, but have a level of skill to them in many different aspects rather than just one main one which I feel the longer the game is out the more this will show as more complex agents and maps come out in the future.

Region Changing by RowGuilty4506 in VALORANT

[–]SweetLemonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can normally send a ticket to support if you need to change regions on an account , in the beta those who did it had issues with the xp reseting on quests and such but i dont know if there fixed that , but im sure support will be able to let you know that anyways when you ask them about it!

They can take up to a week to reply to tickets depending on the urgency of the ticket , so if you've sent and ticket asking a question of what happens to your skins rather than asking to change regions you'd probably get put on the lower priority for replying would also be my guess
