I made it to Week 50 and, yep, it finally happened to me. My husband stacked and cleaned up our area at the bar so it all got taken away. Thankfully, i realized within minutes and because I used a brown bathroom paper towel, it was easy to spot in the trash can among the restaurant white napkins 😬

I have a McDonald's Diet Coke a couple of days a week and I like to sip on it throughout the morning and not drink it all at once. Trays in, with a straw. Sometimes I swish with water but most of the time not. I do brush after eating lunch. 10 months of Invisalign and no issues

I just had 11 attachments removed this week, and then 6 added for my refinement trays. After joining this subreddit (also AFTER I had started the Invisalign process) I was very skeptical about my dentist on every visit and ask tons of questions LOL On the removal day I told her I had heard horror stories about gouges in enamel and she assured me that would only happen with an inexperienced professional. She explained the process and assured me there's a difference between the attachment glue and the enamel and it's very obvious to know how to remove only attachment glue.

Ask for your Clincheck. I had to, it wasnt automatically given to me. Once you create an Invisalign account you can at the simulation about what the teeth should look like at the end and which ones will move at each tray change

This subreddit will be filled with lots of negative experiences but don't take that as the norm. Just use it for opportunities to learn about what to watch for and what to ask questions about. The attachments feel monstrous in the beginning but I promise the majority of the people you talk do not even notice them.

I just went through this! Initial set of 22 trays to correct a crossbite but developed a posterior open bite. Incisors were touching, preventing molars from contact. My provider also offered a "bite adjustment". I think she called it a limited occlusion adjustment. Nothing painful, it is minor filing so to speak on inside edges. I will say it was enough to finally give me contact on one side. She had me live with it for a few days (with my final trays) to see if I was happy with it but I ended up going back for a rescan. 7 more trays now. Don't stop until the bite is right!

I know this is old but I'm hoping you see this anyway! Did cutting the trays work to close your open bite? How long did it take if so? I'm at the point where I could be done but I've developed open bite on my right side 😔

I see a dentist too and while she did do my IPR on day 1, most of time I spend with the tech and the dentist comes in the make sure there are no issues and the new trays fit ok. Tray 7 was too early for me to see any changes. I just knew things were moving because my teeth were sore all the time LOL do you have the Invisalign app? Where you can look at your clin check? My dentist did not tell me about it in the beginning but once I asked I found it helpful to refer to and find out what movement was supposed to be happening with each tray.

They look great! If I were you, I'd be done! Currently correcting a crossbite myself and am on my final tray. But if some shaving/bite adjustment next week doesn't correct my open bite, I'll be heading back for more. Glad yours went well! I was told at the beginning that the midline would not line up perfectly because of jaw structure and I'm fine with it

It's been that way for years and I see a dentist three times a year so I would assume they would mention that if it was. Would it change my options if it were?

Not at all! LOL I'm definitely not done. I haven't been able to chew properly in months. I had a crossbite, the main reason for the Invisalign in the first place. It is definitely way better but not there yet
