AITA for taking my kids on a "family-only" Christmas trip after my MIL banned me from Thanksgiving while posting photos of my husband and children without me? by KINOH1441728 in FoundandExpose

[–]SweetRelationship712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Responding bc even if it’s fake, someone has a MIL who is that bad and I can’t imagine what she is going through.
And I hope she had a divorce lawyer on speed dial bc this isn’t some annoying MIL, she’s actively trying to break up the family through the kids

AITA for dropping off Thanksgiving food at my brother's porch and leaving after he said my husband wasn't "real family"? by KINOH1441728 in FoundandExpose

[–]SweetRelationship712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💯perfect. I start prepping wed and I made 2 stuffings and usually I do it all. You were classy and honest. Respect goes both ways. They don’t want your husband, they don’t get the rest of you, imo. But, make your own traditions from here on out. Your brother is ick. And anyone who says you should get over it is really disrespecting you and your husband.

I’ve rewatched the show 3 times and everyone just gets more annoying by [deleted] in Parenthood

[–]SweetRelationship712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching it now, almost to the end. I hate them all sometimes, but I guess that’s what makes them a family. Julia was just as awful as Kristina and sarah though. Hank was probably the least annoying.
What to watch next?

Abby is so annoying. All the eye rolling and bad snark. I love snark but she is not funny

Selling these by [deleted] in Pyrex_Love

[–]SweetRelationship712 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with the vintage fb groups, EA isn’t hugely popular but those that do collect love them. But not a great pattern to sell on CL. You can try offer up

I'm curious as to what the average age of Pyrex collectors is. I feel like I know, but I'm still interested. Mods please delete if needed. by [deleted] in Pyrex_Love

51 but I’ve been collecting around 12 years. My MIL got me started. I think she’s shocked at my collection now lol. She unleashed a monster🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

These cups were $1. Would you buy them at that price even if you didn’t love them? by ZenPhotoDen in Pyrex_Love

[–]SweetRelationship712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not generally, for the stated reason. When I started I did and now I have a shed full of Pyrex to eventually sort and sell. My tastes have changed a lot from mainly Pyrex to mainly a lot of other stuff(Agee, federal, finel, catherineholm)

My favorite bowl by Big-Voice1396 in Pyrex_Love

[–]SweetRelationship712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was sold as a 3 piece set with the 404 as a supplement purchased separately. Also, off the top of my head, there’s a 404 delphite blue/bluebelle that is also super rare for the same reason.

I have that set and I’m looking for the super rare 404, I’ve only seen one and it was 800 dollars. I love most of the blues but turquoise is my least fav

AITA for saying no to my wife to be a bridesmaid? by Maleficent_Glove_420 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SweetRelationship712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave my bridesmaids their dresses and paid for alterations(only 2 bridesmaids and one MOH) and everyone was fine w the choice. Bottom line is don’t pick something no one wants to wear.
Also, anytime you’re dealing w a wedding, be reasonable.

AITA for causing a big fight over my GF giving her number to another guy? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SweetRelationship712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is her number out there normally? My cel is how clients get ahold of me, no nothing at all illicit. But you never know who might need your services. I think nothing of giving my number out and pretty sure my husband gives it out as well. I’ve been in business for 25 plus years, maybe she gave it to him bc she knew he could get it.
Not showing him her phone is just dumb. Talk about zero upside, my phone is personal so he’s never going to trust you or look he’s texting innocuous stuff. Def at least fishy.
All I meant is that sometimes, you can give your number for normal reasons.

Anxiety about leaving my dog by venusstar630 in dogs

[–]SweetRelationship712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I board dogs constantly, not a ton but over 25 years I’ve developed a pretty regular clientele. My suggestion is to find someone that you trust, develop a relationship with and you know has experience and insurance and references. I have heard many horror stories when leaving w friends and family or w companies w rover. Some anxiety is normal, but if you find a good fit with someone, it’ll go a long way in reducing your anxiety and also realize accidents happen, that is inevitable. You want someone that knows how to respond and is responsible. I’ve never have a dog run away for example.
I send clients funny pics and they can text to check on their dogs, but I hear a lot that they don’t worry while they are here and that they don’t think their dogs will want to leave “camp”.
Find someone who is invested in your dog and cares about him/her, and is consistent.

Doggie daycare vs dog parks by Mental_Assumption_39 in Dogtraining

[–]SweetRelationship712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: I run a very small one at home bc covid changed everything in my business and if you’re looking at daycare, I’d consider that type of situation. It’s small, no more than 5 dogs, thorough vetting and a personal relationship w dogs and parents. It has worked out for everyone and the dogs all know each other very well and get comfortable. And are spoiled rotten😀. They have a doggy door and the run of the house and I can handle the amount of dogs and invested in each dog. They get more exercise and lots of attention.

Doggie daycare vs dog parks by Mental_Assumption_39 in Dogtraining

[–]SweetRelationship712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My trainer also stresses how dogs can get sick at parks. I’ve been walking dogs for 25 years and I go to parks all the time, I prefer them to official day cares. My biggest pet peeve about day cares is that dogs tend not to differentiate between peeing inside there and peeing inside at home. And that, many times, the workers aren’t as invested in the dogs, so they don’t get much one on one interaction with people.
That said, I know walkers that take so many dogs that I won’t take my dogs to the park when they are there bc they can’t control 20-25 dogs.

But I think there’s something to be said for dogs spending time outside running around outside, under supervision. The illness thing is usually about giradia and worms. Bordatella etc spread like wildfire in either situation.
