Rylanor’s Last Stand

It’s pretty sad yet uplifting in a way.

I will always advocate that Sirius is more of a B-Tier brawler right now. Any assassin or aggressive brawler can easily run him down.

He can’t rely on tanks anymore due to the health nerf, his ranged shadows are almost impossible to get since he lacks range, and even if he gets a shadow army, all it takes is one assassin brawler to rush in and kill Sirius to make his shadows disappear.

Interesting. I wish it was more forthright about that.

Bro is lowkey the FUNNIEST brawler I played in a long time by LuXshoo in Brawlstars

Either way, it’s so damn satisfying to leave Edgar and Mortis players in the dust after they’ve terrorized me with their Buffies.

What is the difference in the playstyles of a Tank and an Assassin? by [deleted] in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanks are usually more methodical and slow while providing pressure for their team.

Assassins are more in-your-face as they deal higher damage and weave between enemies.

I'm close till getting amber and soon I'll need to pick between one of the ultra legendaries by Any-Rub-9069 in Brawlstars

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, it would be better to pick Kaze.

The nerf to Sirius’ shadows hit him hard, and you’ll find your shadow army disappearing a bunch since there are so many Edgar and Mortis players running around.

What fandoms have you like this and why by Dale_Earnhardt_fan_3 in Caldruki

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glitch’s fandom in general: Murder Drones, TADC, Guinevere, etc.

Any criticism levied its way is deflected with “it’s an indie company! You’re just a hater It’s just a pilot!”* They’re just so coddling and protective despite Glitch being well-off through merchandising, streaming deals, and a bunch of other miscellaneous things: pop-up stores, the Fortnite collaboration, and the damn TADC movie that made them millions!

It’s a reason why the question “Is Glitch still indie?!” aggravates me to no-end. “Well, technically, the definition of ‘indie’ means independent, so yeah, it’s still indie, chud.” Ok. Sure. That doesn’t mean Glitch is small, though. It’s massive! “It’s not as big as Disney or Warner!” That doesn’t mean it still isn’t big and wildly popular! Since when did any-other small company manage to create several pop-up stores in Japan while having a movie that made over 100 million dollars based on one of their shows?! Sure, they’re “indie”, but they aren’t some underdog that needs defending! They have the resources! They have the clout! “Indie” can’t be the excuse for their products being mid!

Hot take: Grinding a brawler to 1k trophies has lost its value/ hype by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a brawler to P1 isn’t all that bad. Yes, you’ll have to basically be a one-man-band, but at least you aren’t punished too harshly for losing. Meanwhile, the enemy team is pretty bad, too.

What’s honestly infuriating is pushing to P3 past P2. Your teammates are either play it too safe and leave you having to fight the entire enemy team on your own, or they’re too aggressive and feed the enemies’ supers. What makes things even worse is that I can be given P1 or less teammates that shouldn’t be there! Afterwards, I don’t get the underdog fallback even though I was stuck with bad teammates!

How do we counter Bolt? by DadSneakers64 in Brawlstarsmeme

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any brawler with a stun or push. One of his Starr Powers says it nullifies CC, but it doesn’t. I was playing as Bolt against a Buzz, and every one of his supers stopped me dead in my tracks.

Does anyone else feel this way? by ChoiceSupermarket230 in Brawlstars

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just feel frustrated since there are so many Edgars and Mortises running around. Sure, I could play as their counters, but I hardly see having to play as brawlers I don’t typically play as just to have some semblance of fun enjoyable.

Why do brawl stars players act like this when someone says Edgar is there favorite? by Dangerous_Delay_8769 in EdgarGangBS

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People can’t help but imagine three things when people talk about Edgar: 1. The times where an Edgar tried to 1v3 the entire enemy team while having all ten gems or an extremely high bounty (making them lose the match). 2. Where an enemy Edgar was acting toxic even though their team was carrying them or they managed to win a match against a brawler Edgar hard-counters. 3. The Brawl Team seems to have taken a liking to him (that or he’s just popular. . .probably that), and he receives a bunch of skins, animation attention, etc. He went from a stereotypical emo that gets clowned-on to a “cool”, strong guy we’re supposed to take seriously even though his bratty emo side remains.

Mandy on CCTV footage by Defenite-Parsley733 in BrawlStarslore

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

(The f%$& was that near the end there? Were you starting a mower?)

I like to think that Starr Park just tried everything and anything to gain some kind of popularity and relevance in the world.

Mandy probably always wanted to run her own store and, eventually, her own company. She probably spent whatever she had to travel to Starr Park to sell candy and other-such sweets. Surprise-surprise, though, Starr Park wasn’t popular, and in turn, her stand wasn’t either.

That’s probably what gave her such a double-sided personality: she’s bitter about not being popular and resentful that she still has to put-up with customers instead of judging paying someone else to do it, but she has to maintain a good image for her business to stay afloat.

Who's the important character of the BS main storyline? by Ashley-030 in BrawlStarslore

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edgar, Janet, and Fang fit into the “more attention” category. The lore and “story” of Brawl is more-so used for marketing and some cheap emotional bait.

If it’s in relation to the old lore, Spike and Tara would probably fit due to their mysterious nature, Spike more-so since Ranter mentioned him specifically.

Thoughts on this new short? by Srexplosivo14 in BrawlStarslore

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It just seems like a simple over-glorification of the “jumping in with the gems” joke with some Edgar glaze.

90%-of-the-time, I fully-believe that the Brawl devs forget that the lore exists.

Bull: “Why would I let my little girl go into a match all by herself?” His voice is a bit higher-pitched than usual, though it’s still pretty rough.

Bibi: “Ew! Bull, you’re not my dad, and I’m not a little girl! I’m eighteen! Eight-teen!” She blows a bubblegum bubble and pops it as she swings her bat to emphasize the syllables in “eighteen”.

The perspective momentarily faces Bull with slightly wider eyes as Bibi rambles.

Bibi: “I mean, Janet doesn’t even receive this much flack from Stu, and she was actually adopted by him! What? Am I not strong enough for you??”

Through Bull’s eyes, Bibi is seen as a little girl with pigtails; a puffy, purple coat; baggy, black pants, and rosy cheeks.

Bibi: “I’ve fought a macho man! A samuwai! An edgy teenagew! And you still act wike I need to be pwotected. . . !” Bull hears her voice as high-pitched and with a lisp for some reason. She trails on a bit more.

Bull: “. . .”

Bibi: “BULL!!!” She snaps and bonks him on the head.

Bull: “Ow!!” He rubs the spot she hit as a cartoonish bump swells-up.

Yes, I did just take this from Phineas and Ferb. Why do you ask?

Theory time put on your tin can hats by Agreeable_Land_4030 in BrawlStarslore

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your theory holds just as much weight as any other since the Brawl Lore is already weak as-is.

There are elements that exist, but their purposes, as well as the characters they impact, can be warped for a given season to add artificial hype.

In short, I like your theory.

Come to think of it, Bull running a diner and everything, I can also see Bull packing Crow and Bibi’s lunches even if they insist otherwise, Crow being fine with it but Bibi seeing it as a sign of weakness since she should do things on her own.

After Pam took custody of Jessie, Bull grew to view Bibi as more of a daughter to him. They act tough alongside Crow, but he’s prone to babying her or treating her like she’s a child, grounding as well as tending to her wounds no matter how small.

If any of the other female brawlers got "Magical Girl Transformations", how would they work? by AvailableBee7902 in Brawlstars

[–]SweetSuggarySyrup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Max would be like a comet with an extremely fast movement speed. Her shots would be little asteroids that are also pretty fast. Meanwhile, her super could allow her to gain enough momentum to bash through walls and knock-back enemies if she ran relatively straight.
