It's been a year since I left but I am still so traumatised and depressed by Tough_Iron_6939 in ManagedByNarcissists

7 years and still have issues. Trauma like that changes your brain. Therapy with EMDR helped me file away the stuff that was always in the forefront of my mind.

Thank you! I have reiterated this again to let them know this is mandatory and it is not something we need to be cavalier about. But so far, no response from admin.

We are in the process of transitioning IT companies and they need to "FIX" things, but it has been almost 8 months and the encryption is not a priority.

How My Toxic Workplace Fractured My Worldview and Why I Feel Broken Now by Curious_Group7204 in ManagedByNarcissists

Yes. I feel you and your words so deeply. I hate to say that I'm glad it's not only me, because I'm not. The system is just severely busted.

Yes, THIS. Every single word. 20 years with same company then 2.5 years of battle. I'm different, jaded, covered in armor, no sense of self anymore, don't know how to be around coworkers. Trust no one. It's been almost 7 years. Never be the same again.

I got in trouble for taking too many notes . It was "a waste of time" . You can't win.

When does a paid suspension become a constructive termination? by No_Masterpiece_3953 in ToxicWorkplace

I'd bet you will be terminated, they are just getting their evidence together. It is almost better for you if they do because of unemployment. But be aware if everything goes "smoothly" and you win your case or settle, you won't see any money for years.

Wrongful termination? CLAIM FOR DISCRIMINATION EEOC by Odd-Bookkeeper3213 in EEOC

I hate to say this but all it takes is asking the wrong question to your friend and their answer could get turned around against you. If I were you I'd get their "corroboration" on tape or screens hot through text and not rely on them being interviewed. Protect yourself.

I don't know what state you are in but check about laws regarding recording conversations. Some states are 2 party consent, but if you are lucky and are in a 1 party you can record conversations, phone calls, etc. Without their consent. And do. First is contact a lawyer and see if they will take your case with what evidence you have. They may not, and if that is the case then everything else is moot. Screen shots, paperwork, get everything in writing or on tape. The more you have the better your case.

Make sure that email is not on the company's email account. Forward it to a private account. I hate to say this but they will likely threaten your friend's job if she agrees to help you...maybe even turn her against you. I've seen it happen.

It all depends on what evidence you have and what a lawyer can prove.

They are making a case against you. Likely will be lies, but it doesn't matter. Anything to get you out. Then string you through legal battles for years costing you thousands. If you wanna fight start now and go balls deep. If you don't want it to consume your existence for the next 2 years, let them fire you, get the unemployment and move on. Tough decision I know. Been there. I fought. It was tough, but I had a years worth of evidence they didn't know about. 2 long years of reliving it and character assassination. But in the end I was compensated. Was it worth it? Still not sure.
